WWE Extreme Rules 2015 : Predictions for Every Championship at the Pay-Per-View

It is almost that time of the month again where the champions shed some extra sweat. If you found it hard to figure out what was meant in the last sentence: it talks about pay-per-views and how every champion will be under the scanner for the occasion.Three title matches have been booked for the Extreme Rules pay-per-view as things stand now with the possibility of two more being added once we reach the actual night. With the show just a couple of weeks away, it would be a perfect time to think about which champion will be under the most pressure for the show and which champion is safest from the lot. So here is a look at the predictions for every championship at the pay-per-view.

#5 Divas Championship Drops

The Divas Championship took a big blow in the form of AJ Lee’s retirement recently. AJ’s departure has left a big void in the championship scene and what the company needs to do now is shake things up a bit. The Bellas walking around with the championship is getting a bit boring these days and a title change is probably the best for business decision.

Paige, Naomi and Natalya are the best options available for the creative team while Brie Bella would be an unexpected option. Charlotte is yet another name that could turn the situation upside down and no matter who wins it, WWE should take the championship away from Nikki.

And not only should they take it away, they should take it away in a good way so that the fans won’t complain about not giving divas a chance.

#4 Tag Team Championship Retains

This is probably the hardest prediction when it comes to Extreme Rules. The WWE’s tag team division is showing some improvements in recent weeks and this is because of all the new teams that gets their time.

Prime Time Players, New Day, The Ascension, Los Matadores, Lucha Dragons and The Usos are all in the running for a championship shot and though most the these teams are worthy of a championship reign, for the time being, it would be best to keep the titles on Kidd and Cesaro.

A multi- team match at the pay-per-view would be welcomed with warm hands by the fans and WWE could then let the title change hands once they build up some credible feud after Extreme Rules

#3 United States Championship Retains

Any match involving John Cena, a championship and an upcoming youngster is always easy to call. And if there is a patriotic flavor to the whole feud, then it is even easier to predict what is going to happen once the match starts off.

Extreme Rules is going to be no different. Rusev has lost his entire momentum after his WrestleMania loss and WWE will not put back the championship on him. Cena was sent to the midcard for a reason and he is going to be there for some time.

The purpose of Extreme Rules is just to complete the rematch clause of Rusev and once the final bell rings, Cena will still have the gold around his waist.

#2 Intercontinental Championship Retains

The Whole idea of letting Daniel Bryan win the Intercontinental championship was to bring back some credibility to the championship. The fans know that Bryan is legitimately good in between the ropes and they respect him for what he does. The reign adds some importance to the otherwise irrelevant championship as Bryan is making it look like a big deal.

Now, as far as Extreme Rules is concerned, Bryan and Barrett are going to have a memorable match. They have some good chemistry in between them but the title will most likely stay with Bryan.

There is a lot more to come from ‘Bryan as Intercontinental champion’ and Extreme Rules would only be one of the chapters in Bryan’s tale.

#1 WWE Championship retains

The WWE Championship will be defended at Extreme Rules in a match between Seth Rollins and Randy Orton. It will be the first championship defense of Rollins after his monumental money in the bank cash in at WrestleMania and the chance of Rollins dropping the title are next to nil thanks to this factor.

There is however a possibility of the match being turned into a triple threat before the pay-per-view since WWE would want to involve Roman Reings in the mix as well. Even if Reigns gets added to the picture, Rollins is the favorite to win here.

There is a lot of money in the Rollins – Brock Lesnar match that is going to happen in the future and WWE will want to keep Rollins rolling as champion until then.
