3 possible endings for The Shield - Evolution match at WWE Extreme Rules

On the night after WrestleMania, the Shield took over the fight against Authority from Daniel Bryan and embarked on a journey which certainly got the attention of WWE Universe. The fans who were cursing the writers for turning Shield face instead of breaking them found out why the WWE did so. It was turned out to be a well-placed move when Evolution returned and we are gearing up for a war between the factions at Extreme Rules now.Its going to be a clash that will defined Extreme Rules and perhaps even make the career of the younger breed involved. The match was set up with a lot of credibility and now WWE needs to make sure that they end it in style as well.So here is a look at the three possible ending that could go down at Extreme Rules between Shield and Evolution.

#4 Dream Scenario: CM Punk Returning and joining Evolution

Well he is still in contract with WWE, he is not suspended, and he still gets royalty checks. So dare to dream, with WWE we never know.

#3 Shield winning and taking out Batista

It’s the best way that the company could get the Shield more over with the fans. Getting a win against the established veterans like Triple H, Orton and Batista will stamp Shield as a force to reckon with in the WWE paradigm.

And since there is a rumor that Batista will be taking time off after Extreme Rules, Shield could take him out on the way out just making his absence part of kayfabe.

The problem however with this would be that this could end up all the hype surrounding Evolution and make them look weak.

It will be a short ending for the feud which bears a lot of potential. But a way to bypass this would be to give the Evolution another member like Sheamus or another power house like Batista.

Then again this takes the authentic essence of the Evolution and all the glory they had in the past would look like a fluke which is not something that would be best for business.

#2 Evolution screwing Shield

Authority and their screw jobs was the highlight of WWE’s main event scene throughout last year. They did everything possible to avoid Bryan getting the title and don’t be surprised if the same happened to Shield as well.

Stephanie has been silent throughout the angle and it’s actually a bit mysterious. She would be eager to get in the mix and Extreme Rules will be a great stage for her.

Just when Shield would be edging towards a win, Stephanie could come out and add some twisted stipulation into the match to make sure that Evolution wins. .

The loss against Evolution will enhance the face run of Shield and it will drag the angle further which is actually good for everyone. Adding Stephanie also make the Evolution look more evil in a sense since she has been flourishing as a heel.

The Chemistry that she and Hunter have will hide the absence of Flair as Stephanie herself is a great deal on the microphone.

#1 Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose turn on Roman Reigns

WWE clearly has a lot of faith in Roman Reigns and they are eventually going to give him a big face push which is going to turn him into a John Cena like figure.

But at the same time while Reigns may go on to be the face of the company, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are superstars who deserves the main event scene. Rollins and Ambrose could turn out to be the next Shawn Michaels or Mick Foley, who the company needed but was not the like the Rock or Steve Austin.

And since Ambrose and Rollins needs a big push along with Reigns, what WWE could do is turn them heel and make them align with Evolution.

If Batista is going, then the stable could benefit from the addition of Rollins and Ambrose as they could unleash a full-fledged attack against Reigns.

It’s going to benefit everyone involved and WWE will end up with three major main event players when they are done with the angle which makes a lot of sense.
