Another PPV has come and gone but this time happens to be a new PPV just before the grandest show of them all. Fastlane wasn’t a disappointment. Not really. It was booked in a way that there were indelible moments yet there were teases for what Wrestlemania is going to look like. As so many moments unravelled, there are going to be some things that will get lost in the shuffle of all the little moments provided but will come out looking important later on the road to Wrestlemania. Here are the five underrated moments-

#5 The Equalizer

If this had happened in front of a hardcore audience, they would have gone berserk. There were some reports that stated Sting won’t use his baseball bat in the WWE. But all those speculations were put to rest when he brought the baseball bat to equalize the challenge of Triple H’s old friend- The Sledgehammer. Whilke this confrontation wasn’t as mesmerizing and spectacular as one would expect out of Sting, it was effective.

#4 Why you running?

No, he did not have a mic when he made possibly the most important statement of the IC title feud. Ambrose kept asking BNB after getting disqualified following the beatdown he refused to stop after the referees five count. The beatdown was coutesy BNB running away again and again from the ring in order to end the match.

As fun and entertaining Ambrose is, he was darn intense when he asked that question. It was some strong delivery and it would make you believe how much being the IC Champion is important for Ambrose. It would also make you believe how much Ambrose is important for the legacy of the IC title.

#3 Stardust

Their match might have had the least bit of interest from the crowd but backstage after Stardust lost to Goldust, there was this performance by the youngest Rhodes that would want you to pay attention. He is just that good at promos and he led a seamless beatdown which was graceful yet merciless. And then he trash talked to his father and made him believe that Cody Rhodes is dead and that he and his brother were the ones who killed Cody.

#2 Cena\'s performance

Whatever you say about Cena, it is not to be ignored that he does take a fall spectacularly when he’s given the opportunity. He made Rusev look really like The Bulgarian Brute he’s known to be. Cena was knocked out cold by the Russian and Rusev looked every bit of the danger he said he would. Credit also goes to how good Rusev is.

But having Cena take that defeat will only garner Rusev more attention and credibility. Kudos to Cena.

#1 RKO outta nowhere

He returned to what can be considered an underwhelming reaction even if it was one of the best reactions of night. The casualness of the fans was atrocious. But it was splendid to see The Viper back and kickstart his feud with Seth Rollins. The biggest highlight of his return were the RKOs that he delivered one after the other. It’s a finishing move that is simple yet significant.

And it never gets old.
