WWE Hell in a Cell 2014 : 5 heel/face turns that could happen at the pay-per-view

Vince McMahon would find it hard to sell the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view since the only thing with a potential to stand out in the whole show is the Hell in a Cell match between Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins.Apart from that, WWE has an absent World Champion, a match that has happened a million times before and another America vs. Russia encounter in their card which pretty much looks like a one way journey to the deepest corners of hell.Despite all those botched bookings, the company can still have their heads high at Hell in a Cell if they deliver the fans with the right amount of twists and turns. And turning someone heel or face would do the job wonderfully so here is a look at the possible superstars that could align with the dark side or the other side once the pay-per-view arrives.

#5 Sheamus

Sheamus’ face run has been uneventful to keep it short despite him getting hold of the United States Championship. To be frank, Sheamus hasn’t had a good opportunity to turn heel after his return due to the opponents that were fed to him.

The situation at Hell in a Cell however is a bit different. Miz will not be the one providing a platform for Sheamus to turn heel but instead it would be Damien Sandow.

Sandow is running around with a heel like Miz but he is over with the fans like a babyface. If Sheamus becomes hell bound on destroying Sandow at some point in the match, the fans would jeer the Celtic Warrior for sure and he could then go on to have a good heel run as champion.

#4 Mark Henry

When Mark Henry made his return sporting a new look, the fans had this idea of seeing Henry as a top heel in the promotion. Well, the WWE creative had other plans.

They bought him back as a baby face even though they didn’t have much of a plan for him to begin with. And from that point, the potential that Henry had as a heel was being wasted even at times where the company struggled to find a good heel apart from the Authority.

After his match with Rusev, Henry started showing his dark side in the matches that he had with Bo Dallas. And last week, Henry also opened another big door when he cost Show his match.

If Henry decides to do the same at HIAC, it would ensure a heel turn from the World’s largest athlete.

#3 Triple H

Now how long can the Authority remain on the evil side? It has to stop at one point or the other right? With Cena getting a 50-50 reaction every time, Dean Ambrose is the only credible baby face that WWE has on their current roster.

And this is also one of the reasons why WWE hesitates to bring back Brock Lesnar. Lesnar practically has no opponent on the current roster that could face him. However, if Hunter decides to turn against Lesnar and his advocate, the fans would have a good storyline on their hands.

It would be a fresh outing for everyone involved and Hunter’s brilliance in playing a babyface would make the angle a success as well.

#2 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt has been missing from WWE programming after his big steel cage win against Chris Jericho. He missed Night of Champions and looks all set to miss Hell in a Cell as well.

In that period between Night of champions and Hell in a Cell, the WWE aired some vignettes about Bray which were cryptic. It’s hard to draw out a conclusion about where Bray is heading with those but one thing we can be sure about is, he will be a new man when he comes back.

Bray has been a heel ever since he made it to the main roster but is someone who could pull off a great performance as a face. He could turn out to be a cult babyface on the roster and a surprise return at HIAC would be a good way to pull off the stunt.

#1 Randy Orton

Orton is a veteran in the business and has proved his worth on various occasions. His association with the Authority is what proved to be the pushing factor in Orton’s current heel run but that factor found a threat when Rollins began to rise.

The Architect was clearly giving Orton a run for his money and the confrontation that they had last week on Raw points to a potential turn from Orton in the near future.

Though his heel run has been stale to the core, Orton is a wrestler who shouldn’t be counted out. He could take the career of Rollins to a different level if he turns face while also being a big threat to the Authority who once fed him.
