WWE Hell in a Cell 2014 : 3 possible endings for Paige vs AJ Lee match

WWE’s divas division isn’t particularly the place to look if you want to see some credible storyline being built up. The WWE creative team has been ridiculously lazy about giving the women some storyline backing and the same story holds as we head to Hell in a Cell. The angle between AJ Lee and Paige will be seeing yet another pay-per-view spotlight on Sunday with the addition of Alicia Fox, who is proving to be the subplot for the championship bout.Paige and AJ could make the fans happy if they produce a fraction of the action they managed to deliver at SummerSlam. With that being said, WWE would clearly be puzzled about the way they want to end the match and here is a look at the paths that they have at their disposal.

#3 The Best Friend

Alicia Fox as we mentioned earlier is the biggest subplot of the match. Paige’s decision to have a new best friend like Alicia was to make AJ jealous but it looks all set to back fire on her.

AJ and Paige could work out a good match at the pay-per-view with the result going in Paige’s favor. This would free AJ for having a different storyline while Alicia could come into the ring after the match and lay out Paige thus ending their ‘friendship’.

Paige and Alicia had a feud back when AJ was taking her break and though it had a lot of potential, the storyline was short lived.

With the friend turned enemy angle, both divas could work out another feud all the way to Survivor Series which would be something fresh than another repetition of the AJ – Paige angle.

#2 AJ goes back with the gold

One of the main reasons for AJ’s Divas Championship reigns is the lack of alternatives that the company have. There aren’t many divas in the roster that could match up to AJ’s charisma, in ring ability and promo skills.

Paige is the only one who could match up to AJ and that’s why she was the champion when AJ took a break from the company.

With two of the top divas working out in a match, it would be hard to pick a winner from that. Another good diva in the roster would be Natalya but she is far away from the title scene making NXT’s Charlotte the next worthy challenger for the title.

If Charlotte is to be put over while making her WWE debut, the championship should be on AJ rather than Paige. This calls for a clean win for AJ at Hell in a Cell if Charlotte is to make her debut soon.

#1 You are going to pay for what your husband did

WWE is well known for making real life situations into kayfabe storylines. They’ve cheaply used many instances including some deaths to garner some television ratings and using CM Punk’s exit similarly would be something more respectful.

Punk left WWE when they were at a low point. The fans have started to realize how unprofessional it was to do the same which means that they won’t mind if WWE took some shots at Punk.

WWE hasn’t used the exit of Punk at any level till now, but they could make it a platform for pushing the dream Stephanie – AJ Lee feud. This would give a good program heading into Survivor Series and ensure that the fans would see Stephanie step in between the ropes.

Stephanie could cost the match for AJ at HIAC and let Paige win so that she could carry the title on the other side while AJ and Stephanie could make up the other side of Divas Division.
