How Brock Lesnar's return affects other superstars on the WWE roster

Brock Lesnar made his blockbuster return to WWE television this week on Raw and put himself right into a WWE championship match against John Cena at SummerSlam. He had all the right to do so after becoming the streak ender which left him with nothing more to win in the WWE than the WWE title itself. One might argue that the type of push that the company gives for part timers like Lesnar is a big problem for the regular roster and some might even point out this as the reason for CM Punk’s exit. This spell of Lesnar’s might affect other parts of the roster in a good way or a bad way, so here is a look at how things might turn out for some of the big names on the WWE roster right now.

#5 The Midcarders

If a text book is written on the short spells that Lesnar has had in the WWE, a major portion of the book would be dedicated to the promos that Heyman pulled off to endorse his client while only a small portion would be left for the match.

Another big portion would be kept apart for the amount of time he spends in destroying poor midcarders that would have nothing to do with the Beast. This has turned out to be some kind of pattern for the WWE whenever Lesnar makes a run and this time might not be any different.

The list of the potential victims for Lesnar might range from Hornswoggle to Big Show and the thing that they will all have in common will be their destruction at his hands.

#4 John Cena

The Cenation leader got to be the lucky one to face Lesnar this time and it has the big match atmosphere in the paper itself.

As far as Cena is concerned, this will be a big match for him not only because its SummerSlam, but because of the fact that Lesnar is coming off a win against the Undertaker at WrestleMania. Being the first one to face Lesnar after that triumph is not a small thing and could end up making Cena look good.

The title looks set to change hands at SummerSlam but is almost sure to come back to Cena before Lesnar leaves, meaning that this feud would only add two big matches to the already impressive resume of Cena.

#3 Seth Rollins

The reason why Rollins had to be in the list was his Money in the Bank briefcase. He is directly involved in the title scene as long as he has the briefcase with him even though he is running a great program with Dean Ambrose.

Rollins would’ve been one of those quick cash in opportunists if it wasn’t for Lesnar and his return this week. Cashing in on Cena would’ve put Rollins right into the main event scene if Lesnar was not the opponent of the champion at SummerSlam.

The former architect of the Shield cannot apparently be champion as long as Lesnar is on the scene and this could postpone the moment all the way to Night of Champions which would take some sort of momentum away from Rollins.

#2 The Authority

Back during the build up to WrestleMania, Lesnar was the next best thing that the WWE had after the Authority when it came to being a heel.

And in his absence, Hunter and his pack were left as the lone target for the fans to hate making the whole situation become some kind of monopoly. The latest return of Lesnar is supposed to take some of that weight off the Authority’s shoulder and also give some heel importance to Lesnar.

The only problem with this would be the fifty–fifty reaction that Cena gets from the crowd. The last thing the WWE would want would be the fans cheering for Lesnar. If that is overcome correctly, the WWE could take away all the heel spotlight from the Authority which will be a refreshing change.

#1 Cesaro

Without any doubt, one superstar who will be most affected by the return of Lesnar is Cesaro. He was treated with high priority after WrestleMania and was even given Paul Heyman as his manager.

However, these pushes got halted recently and Cesaro was left with nothing to do than accept his random bookings and wrestle well. It was not an accident due to which Heyman was taken away from the Swiss Superman right before Lesnar returned and till he goes back, Cesaro will be left to suffer.

When everyone was expecting to see Cesaro in a high profile match at SummerSlam, from the looks of it, he will be confined to a less hyped encounter or could even end up in a pre-show match as the company doesn’t want to take anything away from Lesnar and Heyman.
