WWE Monday Night Raw: 2 February 2015 - Top 5 Moments of the Week

The latest edition of Monday Night Raw proved to be a solid outing for the company due to a plethora of reasons. After a lot of chaos, WWE finally decided to acknowledge the Royal Rumble situation and made a blockbuster match for Fast Lane.Triple H’s announcement was indeed the real show stealer of the night but it was not the only good thing. Seeds were sown for the potential breakup in two tag teams while a couple of matches pushed the fans to the edge of their seats. At the end of the day, WWE managed to make Fast Lane look like a worthwhile pay-per-view and before we head further into the buildup, here is a look at the best moments from this week’s Raw.

#5 Don\'t call me Cody

A match between Stardust and Goldust might well be in the books for WrestleMania. This week on Raw, The brothers faced off against Ascension in a squash match and Stardust was not amused in the way they lost the match.

He began barking at his brother over the loss and when things went out of hands, Goldust went on to call Stardust his real name which further rose up the tension. The friction has been there between the two after what happened at WrestleMania and the company is apparently digging deeper as each week pass by.

Seeing the two face off in the end will be an emotional outing for the fans. If WWE is going to continue the feud with angles like this, then no one would complain about the buildup as well.

#4 The stunt double syndrome

While the company took some big strides towards booking Goldust vs. Stardust on the road to WrestleMania, another storyline that fell into their plans on Monday Night was the Stunt double one.

At one point or the other, Mizdow was supposed to break away from his original and Raw proved to be the first step. Driven by the jealousy towards his stunt double, Miz fired Sandow only to rehire him later as a personal assistant.

Mizdow was banned from mimicking Miz like he always does and the desperations were entertaining. The writers going with something different for the two guys was a welcoming sign and should continue like this all the way to the eventual match.

#3 Ziggler - Wyatt stealing the show

It is never easy to be the best match in a match card which had Daniel Bryan vs Seth Rollins bout. Both Bryan and Rollins are exceptional wrestlers, who knows how to steal the limelight at any show no matter who they are booked alongside.

However, on Monday Night, Bray Wyatt and Dolph Ziggler managed to outclass the Indy darlings. The match was booked as a punishment for Ziggler while Bray wanted to make a statement of his own.

It turned out to be a hard hitting physical match and Bray went home with the win to continue his impressive run. Ziggler was not really hurt by the loss, but then again, he needs to find some wins down the road.

#2 Im the new fear

If getting a win over Dolph Ziggler was not enough, Bray Wyatt pulled off a promo afterwards tagging him as the new fear. His words were aimed at someone who everyone fears and though the name was not specified, we all know that it is Undertaker.

A bout between the two has been lurking around for a long time now the buildup is finally there to be seen. Bray’s strong booking in the recent times was the preparation for this feud.

Bray being a strong microphone worker is pulling off some great promos for the purpose and it was a similar case at Raw. There is a lot of buzz around the feud and hopefully WWE would not mess things up.

#1 Yes Movement reborn

Last year this time, the WWE Universe was rooting for Daniel Bryan. Everyone wanted to see Bryan go all the way to the WrestleMania main event and win the Championship against all odds. And this year, we are pretty much going through the same pattern.

Bryan was introduced into the title picture on Raw and it will go down in the history books as desperation from the company’s side to cool down the angry fans.

He might not replicate what he did last year but Bryan winning the match on Raw against Seth Rollins was a great moment for him and the fans. A date has been set between Bryan and Reigns for Fast Lane and it will be an opportunity for both men to prove their worth.
