WWE Monday Night Raw: 24 November, 2014 - Superstar Ratings

It was going to be easy to follow up Survivor Series and WWE found it the hard way on Monday Night. Though it was clearly one of the better Raws in recent history, there was a huge shadow being cast over by the successful outing on Sunday which made it feel like pretty average. There were a plethora of questions left to be answered from this week’s Raw but the company skipped most of them in favor of some other short term entertainment segments.TLC got no mention whatsoever and the absence of Sting felt like a big black void amidst everything. What WWE did wasn’t probably the best way to follow up a PPV like Survivor Series. With that said, here is a look at this week’s Superstar Ratings.

#15 Big Show 5

There is a guy in Reddit who listed down all the turns that Big Show has had in his career and trust me, it wasn’t a short list. His botched heel turn was probably the lowest point of last night’s Survivor Series and now, Show seems ready to put Erick Rowan over which might not be a bad idea after all.

#14 Brie Bella 5

So apparently Brie is now a heel. Nikki wining the Divas Championship at Survivor Series seems to have bonded the sisters together once again. Her win against AJ was cheap to say the least and it all went flushing down the rain when AJ dropped her pipe bomb in the post-match promo.

#13 Rusev 6

Rusev has been one of the staples of WWE programming over the last few months. The Bulgarian Brute however took a big step backwards this week as the company decided to reboot his feud with Swagger. Now, Swagger is not a bad choice but considering the journey that Rusev was in, he should’ve gone up rather than down.

#12 Fandango 6

Fandango did look more aggressive in his new style but he still hasn’t captured the WWE Universe’s imagination. If WWE actually has something in the books for Fandango’s future, he needs to run a feud with some established name rather than having random matches with Justin Gabriel.

#11 Seth Rollins 6.5

Rollins was expected to be on the receiving side of some punishment this week but WWE wisely booked him into a handicap match. He was probably ‘the’ most underrated performer at Survivor Series and still has a lot of momentum heading forward despite the loss.

#10 AJ Lee 6.5

In case you missed it, AJ Lee dropped a pipe bomb this week. she did lose here match against Brie Bella but when the former champion got hold of the microphone, she called out to the world why she is one of ‘the’ best women wrestlers in the business. And of course, "Talent isn't sexually transmitted."

#9 Tyson Kidd and Natalya 6.5

WWE has a great story in their hands thanks to Natalya and Tyson Kidd but for some reason, the creative team is not giving the angle a good spotlight. Both Kidd and Natalya are talented performers inside and outside the ring which almost makes this angle a sure shot success if delivered properly.

#8 Luke Harper 7

Luke Harper as a singles performer is pure bliss. He had a solid outing with Dean Ambrose this week and if it wasn’t for the botched ending, it would’ve ended up as one of the best matches in recent history. There is no idea on who Harper’s next opponent would be but whoever it is, Harper will excel for sure.

#7 Miz and Mizdow 7

The new champions came in this week to have their first ever title defense. The Dust Brothers were apt opponents for Miz and Mizdow as the match turned out to be an entertaining affair. WWE continued to tease the tension between the original and his stunt double and it would only be a matter of time before things explode.

#6 Daniel Bryan 7

Seeing Bryan after a long hiatus was a treat indeed. It’s sad that he can’t actually wrestle anytime soon but WWE choosing to use him to some capacity turned out to be a successful move. He was the ideal guy to rubber stamp the Authority’s death and Bryan did it in style as well.

#5 Dean Ambrose 7

Bray got the better of the Lunatic Fringe this week but this rating is for the match he had with Luke Harper. There was a great amount of chemistry between the two men as the internet was going crazy for every move they saw in the match. The bigger picture was always the Bray – Ambrose angle and that also excelled.

#4 John Cena 7

The Cenation leader might’ve been the biggest rebel before Survivor Series but once the pay-per-view was wrapped up, surprisingly, Cena went out of relevance. He has no storyline whatsoever apart from the ridiculous one where he makes fun of the Authority and that is no way to treat such an experienced name.

#3 Ryback 7

After all those buildup, Ryback’s momentum was literally killed when he was eliminated at the Survivor Series main event. WWE however tried to get him back in track with a match against Mark Henry on Raw and despite the win; the big guy still has a long way to go.

#2 Dolph Ziggler 7

WWE had a golden chance to shoot Ziggler right into the stars after what happened on Sunday Night. But instead they put him in a flat main event. He did look good in the match however; this wasn’t what the fans wanted after Ziggler came out as the ultimate underdog at Survivor Series.

#1 Bray Wyatt 7.5

After being buried by Dean Ambrose last night, Bray came out strong on this week’s Raw. Bray was the monster that we love to see and also, the friction between the duo skyrocketed thanks to the segment. This would easily turn into the best program heading into TLC at this rate and hopefully they get the limelight they deserve.

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
