WWE Monday Night Raw: 27 September, 2014 - Superstar Ratings

A heel turn, a mediocre return, a mouthwatering feud and a lot of ‘we don’t Brock Lesnar to draw’ made up WWE’s latest episode of Monday Night Raw.The company started off from where it left last week as the friction between Randy Orton and Seth Rollins peaked in front of Triple H. Hunter on the other hand picked up a new headache in form of John Cena who refused to sell out.Mark Henry’s heel turn finally came by and so did Ryback’s return but what stole the show was the verbal confrontation that Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose had. The feud seems nothing short of gold from the looks of it and could end up surpassing the Rollins – Ambrose one if pulled off correctly. And with so much development going around, here is a look at how the wrestlers performed with this week’s Superstar Ratings for Raw.

#15 Paige 6

Paige’s frustrations over not winning the divas championship were unloaded on Alicia Fox on the show and the attack has added depth to her heel character. Her feud with AJ seems to be over after this and will have to hang around with Alicia for some time.

#14 Nikki Bella 6

Nikki Bella’s match with Naomi wasn’t the exact follow up that WWE would’ve wanted after a good outing by the Bellas at Hell in a Cell. The idea was to make look Nikki strong and she might just be in line for the a title shot after that since WWE doesn’t have many other options.

#13 AJ Lee 6

The divas champion had a cheap win against Alicia this week which came by thanks to Paige. The match and the story weren’t about AJ as she was pushed into the background. WWE however is in an awkward situation with AJ as she has no new challenger.

#12 Miz and Mizdow 6

From what we’ve seen over the past few months it is clear that the post-match antics of Miz and Mizdow is actually more entertaining that their match. Raw was no different at the team picked up a loss against the Usos and looked good.

#11 Kane 6

The Big Red Monster looks set to make his return to the squared circle at Survivor Series as part of Team Authority. Though it is a positive sign for the veteran, his character saw no improvement whatsoever and the loss against Ziggler made matters worse for Kane.

#10 The Usos 6.5

The Usos took a refreshing break away from the Dust Brothers and came up against Miz and Mizdow. The affair turned out to be a good match and the win has given some momentum for the twins who is the only credible team that could challenge for the championship.

#9 Dust Brothers 6.5

The Tag team champions came into Raw after dispatching Usos at Hell in a Cell. Another title defense just hours after their last one wasn’t something that the brothers would’ve wanted but they came out winning nevertheless to keep hold of the gold.

#8 Ryback 6.5

It was nice to hear the feed me more chants once again in the WWE and that pretty much made up Ryback’s return. The monster face run from Ryback might finally be here and from the reaction he got, it looks to be a success story right from the start.

#7 Dolph Ziggler 7

The Showoff got involved with the Authority on Monday night and this ensures a probable main event spot in Survivor Series. Ziggler might just be revealed as Cena’s first recruit next week as the two were seen making some agreement backstage.

#6 Mark Henry 7

WWE should’ve turned Henry heel when he first came in with the bald look. It was lagged all the way to this week’s Raw and as they say, better late than never. Henry as a heel offers many new opportunities but first, Show will be the priority.

#5 Randy Orton 7

The tease of Orton’s face turn continued in the opening segment of Raw and there were traits of Orton that we wanted to see. Orton, all of a sudden looks like an important asset in the roster and his feud with Rollins will be something good for both the superstars.

#4 Seth Rollins 7

Rollins still reigns as the top heel in the company despite Triple H entering into an active feud. His angle with Ambrose is dead and buried but as one chapter ends, he has opened another with Orton which will catapult his career further in the upward direction.

#3 Bray Wyatt 7.5

The Eater of the Worlds delivered a captivating promo as always but his explanation felt a bit lame. The advice he gave for Ambrose afterwards showed the glimpse into the future as we are going to be treated with a lot of similar segments in the coming weeks.

#2 Dean Ambrose 7.5

Ambrose was looking for answers after Hell in a Cell and Cesaro became the casualty of Ambrose’s wrath. Bray came out in the big screen to give a "I see myself in you" explanation for his actions at Hell in a Cell and it is only the first step of something spectacular.

#1 John Cena 7.5

He might’ve earned the opportunity to face Lesnar, but Cena was sucked into a whole different territory on Raw. Cena now plays the roles which belonged to Ambrose before Hell in a Cell and he will have to lead his team against the Authority before he can get his hands on the champion.
