WWE Monday Night Raw preview: 12 May, 2014

Extreme Rules is well behind the WWE Universe and the company has set sail towards Payback. However, Payback looks like it will live up to its name by being the stage for many rematches from Extreme Rules. Its a big task for WWE to pull out the buildup if so since they will have to find new ways to avoid making it look repetitive. So far, things arent going in the way WWE or the fans wouldve wanted but every week is a new opportunity for the creative to improve. This weeks Raw isnt going to be anything different as WWE will be trying to rectify their mistakes of last week. And here is a look at what all we could see when WWE brings Raw from South Carolina.

#5 Never ending feuds

WWE wanting to give the mid carder some kind of storyline to fight for is clearly a good sign for the fans. But WWE stretching out the same storyline to ridiculous lengths is something that no one wants to see.

The two major feuds that WWE needs to end will be the Fandango- Santino and the 3MB- Los Matadores ones. The tiny feud between El Torito and Hornswoggle was fun without any doubts and culminated in a great match at Extreme Rules.

WWE however stretched out the thing and showed no signs of dropping it. The one with Fandango and Santino on the other hand never clicked with the fans. The only thing that feud is doing now is wasting Emma’s in ring career and making her looks like a douche.

This week’s Raw is going to make things clear whether WWE decided to put an end to the chaos or continue with it.

#4 Tag team title dilemma

Just a few months ago, the WWE tag team titles used to be one of the titles which gave some great consistent matches throughout WWE’s shows.

But ever since the Usos won the title, the division has been on a downward spiral. Now the tag titles have no importance whatsoever and the WWE is not even investing their time to build up a credible feud around it.

The Usos only have Rybaxel and the Brotherhood as their competitors now and instead of having the three in a three way feud the writers is putting the tag champions in random matches making their title look cheap.

It’s a situation that needs to be addressed soon enough now that WWE is eager to give the mid card titles some importance. Speaking of that...

#3 The Curious rise of mid card titles

After WrestleMania, WWE seems to be on a high ride to get their mid card title back to relevance. The intercontinental title which was going stale with Big E found new life under Bad News Barrett at Extreme Rules while Sheamus got the United States title from Dean Ambrose.

Paige is on a journey herself to rejuvenate the divas division as well. But it’s not clear what the company has next for these champions.

Barrett and Big E’s rivalry almost ended when Big E lost the rematch and Paige successfully fended off Tamina. Sheamus’ title reign is to see a competitor making it an unclear situation all over.

We might get some light on the situation this week on Raw so keep an eye on the champions.

#2 Hounds out for hunting

Shield got one of the biggest wins of their career at Extreme Rules when they defeated Evolution. However, the veterans weren’t ready to stay down.

Evolution struck back in full force last week which saw all the members of Shield going down and Dean Ambrose losing his United States title. The feud between the two stables is sure to continue into a match at Payback.

After last week’s heroics from the Evolution, Shield will be looking to get one back this week making it an interesting scenario. The strategy they’ll be using for that could be the biggest talking point of the night. Or will the Evolution get the upper hand over Shield again? It definetly was feud worth following

#1 Horror film with worst actress

Most of the WWE fans weren’t happy with the way WWE planned out the first feud for Daniel Bryan after his title win. Many didn’t see Kane as a credible threat for the champion but WWE managed to prove them wrong with a good build up and a match at Extreme Rules.

The post-match incident where Kane stood up and hit the pyro told us that the feud was continuing. However, WWE botched the whole thing big time on the Raw which followed.

Bryan was projected nothing more than a coward who was afraid to face the big red monster. And to make matters worse, WWE decided to add in Brie Bella who proved that acting is not something which is meant for her.

It was a segment that took the sting out of the feud and drew a lot of criticism against WWE. Hopefully this week they will be looking to rectify that because Bryan deserves better.

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
