WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: 19 January, 2015

The Royal Rumble home coming edition of Monday Night Raw will come to you on 19th January from the American Airlines Centre in Dallas, Texas. Unlike the previous few outings, this week’s Raw would be packed with legendary names as Vince McMahon is running a Raw reunion.Apart from that exciting prospect, WWE will be looking to go into Rumble on a positive note which in turn guarantees a good show on paper. Making the theory practical would be a whole different story but let’s keep the hopes high, shall we?So here is a look at some of the things that the booking team could give out in the latest outing of their weekly flagship show.

#5 Legends assemble

Thanks to the reunion theme that will be run on this week’s Raw, the WWE fans will get to see a lot of legendary names on the show. The confirmed ones include Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels but that list could always grow at the show.

Kevin Nash, X-Pac, Billy Gunn, Jimmy Hart and Ron Simmons are also rumored to be in the mix. However, the show stealer would probably be none other than Sting.

Sting is not advertised for the show at the moment but that is the beauty of it. He might drop in for a surprise visit and an appearance like that is what the company needs to hype Royal Rumble.

#4 Filling the voids

Raw will be the last major stop before Royal Rumble and WWE will have to fill in the remaining voids for Royal Rumble. There is still plenty of space to be filled in the Rumble match while the undercard could also use some bouts.

Roman Reigns and Big Show might get their pick for the undercard even though it would make Reigns wrestle twice at the show. Also, Rusev might lock horns with Ryback provided that the big guy returns on this week’s Raw.

There is also a possibility of the divas championship finding a spot in the pay-per-view with Natalya being the favorite to challenge Nikki Bella while Paige would serve as the dark horse.

#3 Bryan back in the ring

A majority of the fans expected Bryan to make his in ring return at Royal Rumble but he surprised everyone by wrestling twice on SmackDown. Hunter recently added a match between Bryan and Kane with Bryan’s rumble spot on the line which makes the angle more intriguing.

Bryan adds the much needed star power ahead of the Rumble and it also provides the booking team with extra options than filling the three hour slot with unwanted matches.

However, there is still a lot of concern about Bryan’s in ring performance. All it takes is an unwanted move and disaster could strike big time on the WWE Universe who has racing hearts when the flying goat is in between the ropes.

#2 Finally a return?

The fired trio is advertised for Royal Rumble as things stand now which makes a return at this week’s Raw a must. Ryback is rumored to be facing Rusev at the Rumble this year and we could expect a big angle from between those two on Monday Night.

On the other hand, Ziggler might come back to challenge Bad News Barrett for the Intercontinental championship while Rowan doesn’t have a clear potential angle.

The reintroduction of these three back into the scene would be the headline grabber. Sting could be the one bringing them back as the icon is rumored to appear on Raw as mentioned earlier. There is a small possibility of Vince McMahon returning as well but that would be a final resort.

#1 Mr. I dont care about anyone

Rollins was the show stealer last week when he laid out both Brock Lesnar and John Cena in one night. It was a bold statement from the company to let Rollins steal the show and if they let him do the same this week as well, consider him as a favorite to win the title at Rumble.

Cena will be looking to settle the score this week while Lesnar has some payback of his own. The contract signing ended up in utter chaos so it will only be natural for the home coming to be more chaotic.

There are a lot of rumors suggesting that Cena would win the match on Sunday and if that is what WWE plans for then we would see some hints on Raw so keep those eyes rooted on these three.
