WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: 23 March, 2015

Ever witnessed the phrase ‘All guns blazing’ being materialized into real life? If you haven’t it is highly recommended that you tune into this week’s Monday Night Raw. WWE will bring their weekly flagship show from Staples Center, Los Angeles and it has some paramount importance of being the homecoming show of WrestleMania.Raw will be WWE’s last chance to sell the pay-per-view and we are expected to see a rare mix of desperation, excitement and hopefully brilliance from the company. There are a lot of details to be acknowledged by the company before the pay-per-view goes up and all of them might find a place on Raw.To keep things short and sweet, it is going to be a chaotic riot at this week’s Raw and here is a look at the things we could expect from the show.

#6 Undertakers dark magic

The Bray Wyatt vs. Undertaker angle has been missing the presence of the latter so far and it is unlikely to change this week as well. However, even if Taker doesn’t show up in flesh at this week’s Raw we can expect some mysterious black magic stuff from the Phenom.

Bray’s promos about the match have been top notch to this point and Taker’s black magic would be wrapped along with some intelligent lines from the Eater of the Worlds so that the fans get a big match feeling about the whole segment.

On a bonus note, if WWE does decide to let Taker make an appearance at the show, then the fans at Staples Centre will certainly get their money worth even if WWE screws up rest of the show.

#5 A patriotic moment in the building

When the fourth edition of Rocky series was out, the World was witnessing a cold war between Russia and United States. The film managed to send a big message of using sports instead of war and the climax where Rocky got cheered by the Russian fans was a Goosebumps worthy moment for the entire United States population.

WWE will be looking to replicate the same at Mania this year when Cena faces Rusev for the United States Championship. No one in the crowd (Apart from Cena haters) would want to see the prestigious title in hands of a Russian and they will be firmly behind Cena for the occasion.

At Raw, what WWE needs to do is let Rusev get over since he has been projected as a coward so far in front of an aggressive Cenation leader.

#4 Vipers hunt

Randy Orton made a big statement a couple of weeks back with his middle finger and a RKO on the announce table. It was the viper’s first real taste of revenge against Rollins and Mr. Money in the bank have been escaping the fangs ever since.

Though Orton’s character is all of a sudden interesting once again, what WWE needs now is an angle that would make the fans invested in the Rollins – Orton match.

Till now, the WWE Universe is worried about how Rollins will fair after Mania, but they are not thinking about the possibilities at the pay-per-view. This trend needs to be changed and Raw will be WWE’s biggest and last chance in doing so.

#3 Will Sting continue to haunt Hunter?

The Triple H vs. Sting match might not be getting the spotlight it needs on the road to WrestleMania but all that could change if WWE manages to do something big at this week’s Raw. So far, Sting has been getting the upper hand on Hunter but it needs to change on Monday Night.

WWE should change the one sided affair at all cost and let Hunter have some momentum heading into Sunday Night. Last week at SmackDown, the company managed to make a lasting image by placing Orton alongside Sting and something similar at Raw is also needed apart from Triple H going over.

And an easy way to screw things up would be to let Sting skip the show and have no buildup whatsoever on the match.

#2 Champion with a target on his back

Seven superstars will fight it out for the Intercontinental championship at WrestleMania in a week’s time and the champion, Bad News Barrett has a big target painted on his back. He has been getting the upper hand over his challengers for quite some time now and it will only be a matter of time before the tables turn.

Everyone from Bryan to R-Truth will be looking to get a piece of Barrett at this week’s Raw.

Also, another interesting dynamics to the entire thing is the possible eight person in the match. Goldust is a good choice to be the same but we could also see a returning Sheamus in the mix so that the match doesn’t look so predictive, after all.

#1 A sure shot brawl

The WrestleMania main event has been making headlines for many good reasons and many bad reasons, but at this week’s Raw, the fans are sure to stand up from their seats and take notice. WWE have been saving a confrontation between the two till now and is expected to give the superstars ‘the freedom to brawl’ at the homecoming show.

The fans will get a teaser of what they might see on Sunday night and if the writers pull it off perfectly, the brawl will clearly do favours for the match. The microphone skills of Paul Heyman will come in as an add-on advantage for the entire segment. And most importantly, the fans will be able to see who goes over and who doesn’t.
