WWE Monday Night Raw Preview : 7 July, 2014

John Cena putting a hold to the Authoritys idea of supreme domination and a handful of surprise returns were the big talking points last week on Raw.There were many news feuds which sprouted after a monumental Money in the Bank PPV and some superstars were elevated to main event status as well. AJ Lee and Chris Jericho simply shined with their big returns while Miz didnt have the same luxury.A good show last time has left the WWE universe hot and curious to know in what direction the company would push forward the angles. And the answers to that question will be revealed on Monday night so here is a look at some of the things that would probably be included in the show.

#5 Battle between the patriots

After a long unsuccessful stint as a heel character, the WWE finally decided to turn Jack Swagger face and put him up against Rusev.

While the Bulgarian Brute and his Russian companion were busy talking shots at United States, most of the fans wouldn’t have even thought that the Real Americans would stand up against this. And once they did, it gave the fans something to cheer.

Zeb Colter poking fun of Lana and Rusev was thoroughly entertaining and Swagger was projected stronger than ever when he grounded the dominating Rusev.

The next chapter of this feud will unfold this week on Raw and patriotism will ooze from the WWE Universe when Swagger once again stands up to face people who is insulting his nation.

#4 The Money makers future

Last week’s Raw had three major returns: Chris Jericho, AJ Lee and The Miz. The first two made big impacts with their return and set the plot straight for their future encounter.

However, Miz’s return was botched to the core. He is a former World Champion, a film star, and even has a big movie coming out soon. Still the company didn’t even bother to give Miz a good booking instead of letting Jericho break the code.

At both Raw and SmackDown, Miz ended up looking like a joker with a guy who is sure to face off against the Wyatt Family soon.

Miz is apparently being wasted with the Jericho interactions and the creative has to give him a new path if they are to give him some importance.

#3 Dream feud in the Divas division

The battle between AJ Lee and Paige was something that the fans have been dreaming about ever since Paige set foot in the NXT ring.

She was arguably the best challenger for AJ who was dominating the division since Paige was a mirror image or better when it came to microphone skills and in ring talent.

Paige also had this great Anti – Diva gimmick which made matters more interesting but when the two finally faced off, WWE made it a short affair. AJ Lee was gone for some time after that and when she returned, she went straight to settle the score with Paige.

The two divas are sure to shine under these circumstances and it will finally be some credible feud in the Divas division.

#2 Breaking the Wyatt walls

Jericho returning was one of the big headlines last week and Wyatt Family taking him out became a much bigger one. Bray Wyatt, who suffered after being involved in the title picture, was desperate for a singles feud away from the title.

And that desperation was put to an end by Jericho who apparently requested to have a feud with Bray. The two previously worked together in NXT and it was under the stipulation that if Jericho lost, he had to join the Wyatts.

A similar angle could be expected this time and the way in which the two parties exchange words suggest the same. Also, the Usos might be dragged into the mix so that the numbers would level up making it more believable.

#1 Another Screwjob?

One important thing which has been fueling the Authority angle is the way in which they pull of the screw jobs. Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Big Show and many other names have been on the receiving side of this and John Cena seems to be next in line.

Hunter is clearly not happy with Cena winning the title and his full backing of Seth Rollins to be a future champion puts Cena in a precarious situation.

It would be only a matter of time before Rollins cash in the contract and take the title away and after he tried it last week on Raw, something similar can also happen this time.

The subplot to follow in this one would be Dean Ambrose who might come to Cena’s save once again or even align with the Cenation leader to take down the Authority.
