WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: December 8, 2014

TLC is just a week away and the company will be bringing their home coming edition of Monday Night Raw from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.Apart from being the corner stone of the buildup to TLC, this week’s Raw would also host the annual Slammy Awards which is sure to make the internet buzz. There is probably some place left in the TLC card to fill as well while the writers will be making final arrangement for the already booked matches.Above all this, there is a big question around how the fans will react to CM Punk joining UFC. Raw holds all the answers to these questions and here is a look at the possible developments that could happen on the latest edition of WWE’s flagship show.

#5 Building up TLC

WWE has currently booked six matches for their TLC pay-per-view and all of those matches would require a final push before they head for the big show.

The battle between Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt is obviously the most exciting one and after Ambrose was stretchered out of SmackDown, a big angle can be expected between the two. Rollins and Cena are yet to sell their match big time despite huge stipulation and that needs to be addressed as well.

On the other side, the tag team championship feud has been included an extra factor of Naomi who will most probably cause some chaos among the Usos. The feuds of Erick Rowan – Big Show, Dolph Ziggler –Luke Harper will also get some developments and hopefully all of it would be good.

#4 Completing the TLC card

As mentioned earlier, six matches have been added to the TLC match card so far but from the pay-per-view average, WWE still has slot for two more matches.

The feud that started between New Day and The Dust Brothers looks set to be the first one from that two. New Day needs to be put over big time if they are here to stay and the former tag team champions would be the ideal opponents.

WWE could also add a Divas Championship match into the mix with Nikki Bella facing AJ Lee. The other option for this scenario is a three-way battle between Brie, Nikki and AJ. Both cases will sit pretty well with the fans and of course if they want the ninth match, Adam Rose and his bunny is always free.

#3 And the Slammy goes to

The Annual Slammy awards are going to be one of the biggest draws of this week’s Raw. There are awards to be given out in a lot of categories and the fans might even get to see some big names coming in to present those awards.

Category of awards include Superstar of the year, Match of the year, Diva of the year, Awesome Moment of the year, Extreme Moment of the year (yeah right), LOL Moment of the year,Tag Team year of the year and some other meaningless categories.

Lesnar, Rollins, Ambrose, Cena (obviously), Reigns, Bryan and Bray are in the running for Superstar of the year and while there is a disappointing array of matches to choose for the match of the year.

The fans are either going to cry or laugh when the awards will be presented as there isn’t a middle emotion from the nominations that has been lined up.

#2 Now they have to bury CM Punk

One of the reasons why WWE didn’t bury CM Punk even after he dropped many pipe bombs was due to the tiny bit of hope that Vince McMahon had. Vince knew that Punk was not going to join any other promotion and apologized to lure him back.

Well, Vince got the surprise of his life when Punk revealed that he will be working in UFC from 2015. This is sure to make the chairman mad and he will probably do what he had to do ages ago.

Burying Punk just after he joined UFC will do wonders for the company in terms of Main stream attention and it will also give them a much needed controversial angle before the WrestleMania period.

The CM Punk chants among the fans will also be an interesting factor for the Raw as no one knows how the WWE Universe will react to the latest news.

#1 Who is the GM this week?

Authority going out of power has left the company without a power figure to run the things. They’ve been running the Manager of the year gimmick after Survivor Series with Daniel Bryan and the Laptop filling in for the last two weeks.

Santino Marella was the guest manager for SmackDown last week and this obviously raises a question about who will come in for Raw this week.

The usual suspects of Vince McMahon, Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan is still relevant but after Punk joining UFC, don’t be surprised to see Vince taking up a regular role in television and become the new Authority figure.

Whoever it is, as long us WWE doesn’t go with some C grade celebrity, the fans wouldn’t be having many problems.
