Monday night Raw preview: July 27, 2015

Triple H

The UndertakerHulk Hogan’s racial controversy has overshadowed the entire storylines that WWE built up for SummerSlam. The company had a great segment with Undertaker and Brock Lesnar last week, but now that Hogan took over the internet, WWE will now need something bigger to get the attention back. They will have the chance to do the same at this week’s Monday Night Raw. The company will have to come up with an above average show to please the fans and this puts extra pressure on the show writers. Amidst the pressure, here is a look at some of the things that WWE would mention at this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw.

#5 Birthday Celebrations?

Triple H

Three professional wrestlers will be celebrating their birthday on July 27, 2015. One is Shannon Moore, the second is Dolph Ziggler and last, but clearly not the least, Triple H. While Shannon Moore is not in the WWE and Ziggler is busy shooting his new film project, Hunter is the only birthday boy that could get a celebration on live television.

The Authority has a bad habit of opening television shows and we might just see this week’s show open with a birthday celebration of Hunter. And what comes along with parties? Party crashers, of course. The question is: who will it be? Will it be someone from the past or will it be someone that the Authority locked up in jail?

#4 Direction for the Divas

Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte

The divas division is currently experiencing an uprising, period. WWE introduced three new divas into the mix and had some matches involving them. However, the company is yet to give a proper direction for the divas. The Divas title should be introduced into the mix at some point or the other and till then, WWE should try and explore the friction between these nine divas.

The tag team bouts are going well and divas are getting featured more than once on Raw. What WWE needs is a strong narrative to back up all this and they should give Stephanie McMahon a bigger role to play in the whole scenario. Stephanie’s involvement will add depth to the storyline and will keep it entertaining.

#3 Two on two or three on three

Bray Wyatt

The singles feud between Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt has been buried by the WWE in favor of a multi-superstar match for SummerSlam. Luke Harper and Dean Ambrose were added to the mix for the same and apparently, the field is going to expand further. WWE has plans of involving Sting into the feud and making it a three on three tag team match at SummerSlam.

Erick Rowan’s injury, however, proved to be a spoilsport. WWE is currently looking for a new member for the Wyatt Family and we might get a hint at the same this week on Raw. Bo Dallas is a great candidate as he has a backstory and the desperation to try out something different. And of course, Sting once knocked him out as well.

#2 US title changes hands?

Cesaro

With Brock Lesnar moving on to feud with Undertaker, Seth Rollins was left with no completion last week. WWE soon came up with the idea of pairing Rollins with John Cena for a program and we will probably see a match at SummerSlam as well. The only problem that WWE currently face is Cenas United States Championship. According to the rumors, it might be sorted out this week.

We might get to see a title change on Raw this week, but the way in which the title will change is still unclear. It could be a Triple Threat between Cena, Kevin Owens and Cesaro so that Cena wont get pinned during the match. No matter which way WWE chooses, Cena might lose his title sooner or later.

#1 Fallout of the brawl

Brock Lesnar

Undertaker and Brock Lesnar stole the show last week. It was a full-on brawl between the two superstars on Raw and the Authority had to get both men arrested to stop the same. The angle was too good to end in one segment and WWE should follow up with some brilliant angle. Also, there are some questions that the fans have.

First among them is about Undertaker’s alignment. Is he a heel right now? He has been acting so and it wouldn’t be a surprise if WWE mentions the same soon. Also, WWE needs to come up with a more believable reason for the feud since taking revenge after almost two years still does not make sense.
