WWE Night of Champions 2014: 3 possible endings for Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins

The Shield’s implosion presented WWE with a plethora of possibilities and Night of Champions looks set to play host to one among them as former tag team champions, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns would go against each other to settle their scores. There has been some criticism among WWE fans against Reigns that he pursued personal glory rather than teaching Rollins a lesson. This feud is supposed to be a way around all those as Reigns would finally have his chance to show the fans that he did care about the Shield.Everyone is clearly missing Ambrose and his madness at this moment but Reigns seems to be an apt replacement for the Lunatic Fringe.Rollins has the opportunity to stamp his authority as the top heel in the company while Reigns will be looking to make sure that his rise to the top is not affected by Mr. Money in the Bank. It’s a compelling encounter to say the least, so here is a look at the three possible endings for the match.

#3 Triple H -1 Reigns - 0

The dream feud between Hunter and Reigns has been brewing in the background for quite some time now. First it was supposed to be at SummerSlam which didn’t happen which made Night of Champions the next possibility.

Reigns getting booked against Rollins took out that angle as well leaving Survivor Series as the next credible stage for the match to take place.

However, for that, the WWE will have to build the match from NOC itself. Till now, Hunter and Reigns haven’t brushed up against each other directly. Reigns had his feud with Orton and will now face Rollins while he did take out Kane on various occasions.

Hunter getting physical with Reigns is what the WWE wants as a spark plug for the storyline and NOC looks to be the ideal stage. When Reigns is about to win the match, Hunter could come down and steer the match in favor of Rollins, leaving him free to engage in a different feud while the fans will be given what they wanted from the start of the year.

#2 Return of the Lunatic Fringe

In the absence of Daniel Bryan, Ambrose managed to crown himself as the top rebel in the company. His energy and unpredictability was always met with cheers by the WWE Universe as they embraced him as one among them who was fighting the system.

Ambrose was too hot to be taken away from television but the creative decided to do just the same as he had a movie project to complete (whose posters look swell by the way). Not having both Ambrose and Bryan was the opportunity for Reigns to shine but he is someone who will have trouble fitting in as an anti-hero.

This projects the need for bringing back Ambrose into the mix and now that Rollins is facing Reigns at NOC, the lunatic fringe could come back to make sure that the Authority doesn’t get an unfair advantage over Reigns.

He could also run in to save Reigns in a post-match beat down after the match ending on a no contest due to outside interference.

#1 Reign of Reigns

No matter who denies it, Reigns is going to be the face of WWE in a matter of few years. He has already started his rise to the top and any match that he will be involved in during this period would serve the purpose of making his journey easier.

The last feud with Randy Orton had the same intentions. Reigns getting a win over a former champion like Orton at SummerSlam is a big boost to his resume.

And next in line is Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins. Rollins and Reigns have a lot of history between them but the major subplot would be moulding Reigns as a main event star.

Now that Brock Lesnar is here to stay for the time being, the Money in the Bank briefcase being in the hands of a baby face would make more sense. A clean win against Rollins would make Reigns eligible to challenge for the briefcase which in turn opens the door for the Lesnar – Reigns showdown.
