WWE Night of Champions 2014: 3 possible endings for the Brock Lesnar vs John Cena match

After a historic demolition of John Cena at SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar has found out his first date as the WWE Champion. Triple H revealed that the Beast would be facing Cena in a rematch at Night of Champions and the news has managed to gather a lot of main stream attention.A majority of the fans tagged their last encounter as one of the best pay-per-view main events in recent history due to the sheer emotions that it carried.Though Lesnar was expected to walk out as the champion from SummerSlam, many didnt see such a dominating performance from the one and this will be the foundation for WWE when they prepare another classic between these two.It will simply be an anything can happen scenario on September 21 at the Bridgestone Arena so here is a look at the possible endings.

#3 Stop it already

The highlight of the match at SummerSlam between Lesnar and Cena was the beating Cena took. He was taken to hell and back by the beast but the Cenation leader refused to give up. Cena lived up to his character’s motto of not giving up while Lesnar showed some mercy.

It was a memorable beating, but it was not the worse that Cena could’ve got. Lesnar is capable of delivering a more vicious assault at any time and if this happens at Night of Champions, Cena might not be able to stand up after that.

If the company allows the referee to call for the bell seeing the beating Cena gets, it would help Lesnar to get more over as a monster heel. Also, an ending like this would present Cena with more sympathy from the fans which is what he needs to put a stop to the 50-50 response he has been getting every time from the WWE Universe.

#2 The Warrior triumphs but...

Gus Ramsey compared the match between Lesnar and Cena at SummerSlam to the first fight that Rocky had against Clubber Lang in the movie Rocky III.

Now for those who didn’t see the flick, it goes like this: Rocky was a decorated champion and was reigning just like Cena when Lang came and beat the hell out of him to win the championship. However as the movie progressed, Rocky came back strongly as a warrior and defeated Lang to win the title back.

There is no better way than this to book Cena at the moment. Everyone knows Cena as the warrior who never backs down from a challenge and no matter how badly he is hurt, Cena would come out to give his best.

Overcoming the challenge possessed by Lesnar to win back the title would make for a strong storyline. And to add a bit of twist, there is always Seth Rollins with his Money in the Bank briefcase.

#1 Another clean win for the Beast

The first possibility would make Cena look good even if he is losing but this one is bound to bury the Cenation leader to depths he’s never experienced before.

A similar replication of their match at SummerSlam wouldn’t make the fans yawn due to the sheer talent that these two have in carrying a match. Lesnar would also be projected as a champion who actually cares about the numbers instead of being a beast who is only out for destruction.

Another loss for Cena would prove to the fans that the company sees Lesnar above Cena in carrying the company through the Network Era. Paul Heyman would have something more to brag about after this win while Lesnar will be out of the typical heel light of choosing dastardly deeds to keep the title with him.
