WWE NXT TAKEOVER II: 5 promising developments

NXT came out with its second edition of what could be adjudged as its very own pay per view. It wasn’t as great as its first and original version but it did not disappoint. This just goes on to show the amount of sheer talent that WWE has. And when combined with good writing, they can come out with a stellar show.Here are the 5 promising developments from Takeover 2.

#1 KENTA IS HERE

What a way to introduce a superstar.

Anybody who has been a fan of CM Punk and followed many of his interviews will remember that he has talked about KENTA and how his finishing move GTS is straight out of KENTA’s book. Well, the man finally made his presence felt in the WWE. He was effortlessly repackaged as Hideo Kitami, which he mentioned was a tribute to his hero.

Soon after, we saw him take out The Ascension all by himself and he stamped his arrival with authority.

#2 Match Of The Night

Adrian Neville is still the NXT Champion.

In what was the most hyped match of this two hour special, all four superstars did not disappoint. Far from it, they actually came out with a classic of a match. They just can’t have a bad match at this moment. This is a match where Tyson Kidd got to give a performance what the main roster fans have never had the pleasure to see. It was nothing short of stellar. It was spectacular. But it was Zayn who takes the cake for the best performance of the night. He was not only the most popular person in the ring, he was just outstanding in every aspect. Two Cancerians stole the show.

#3 Bow Down To The Queen

NXT continued to showcase that it cared more about its divas than the main roster does. And the divas put on a good performance. Even though Charlotte won, Bayley wasn’t an easy target. She was the popular choice as the crowd chanted for her. The ending moments of the match were quite interesting where Sasha Banks attacked Bayley and Charlotte made the save. Is she the new anti-hero or anti-diva? That was quite intriguing. Anyway, ever since Paige was promoted to the main roster, Charlotte has seamlessly taken over her position of the most interesting character in NXT.

#4 New Champs

Who could have seen this coming?

It was adjudged as the biggest upset in NXT history and it certainly looked like one but a deserving one at that. Sin Cara and Kalisto are the new champs and it is such a major boost for them as a tag team and their style of wrestling. Acsension didn’t really have a stellar night as they were humbled by KENTA alone later in the night.

This gave the show a good start and has certainly given the team of Kalisto and Cara a great start as champions.

#5 The man named Enzo Amore

Okay, so his match isn’t even close to be considered as a highlight and it wasn’t exactly stellar by any chance but this character that is Enzo Amore is just too cool to watch. His style and approach to his character has been a major boost for him. He is one of the most popular stars on NXT and just too fun to watch.Even if his match is a flop, he never is.
