WWE Payback 2015: 5 Big twists that could happen at the pay-per-view

Who doesn’t like a good old twist in the tale? And if it is happening in a WWE pay-per-view leading up to SummerSlam, then it adds an extra sweetness to the whole thing. WWE will be desperate to pull of some twists at Payback due to the same and looking at the way the storylines are shaping up, they do have some plots worth exploring.Pulling them off and Pulling off them the right way are two different things but either way, WWE should make something happen at the show so that the fans won’t riot.Turns, reunions and returns are all in the major possibility twists and you are going to find just that in the list.

#5 Mega Powers 2.0

Curtis Axel got a big boost to his career when he picked up the AxelMania gimmick. Although it sounded ridiculous on paper, Axel has managed to turn it around and actually ended up being entertaining. While his career took off on one end, WWE had Damien Sandow on the other.

Sandow was literally stuck in the crossroads after his feud with the Miz and just like lady luck smiled with Axel; it smiled at Sandow as well. He introduced his new Randy Savage rip off character in an episode of Main Event and had some good chemistry while fighting Axel.

What is the twist in all these? Well, we might get to see a newer version of Mega Powers if the WWE decides to team together the two men at Payback, and that, would be a twist.

#4 A heel turn from Dean Ambrose

Now, this might sound a bit stupid considering how over Ambrose is as a baby face but do you think that Ambrose is born to be a babyface? Not apparently. He is a natural heel and that is where he should be if he is to be successful. There have been rumors about Ambrose turning at the show and it is the perfect stage as well.

All of the Shield members would be together at a major stage after a long time (we’ll get to that) and Ambrose turning to align with Seth Rollins will mark out the fans. How would you like to see Dean Ambrose be the bodyguard of WWE Champion Seth Rollins? Let your imagination run wild.

#3 A Big Return

There are a handful of possible returns that WWE could materialize at Payback. And we are not talking about returns of midcard jobbers; we are talking about returns that could shake up the entire WWE landscape.

First in the list is none other than Brock Lesnar. The beast still has a score to settle with Seth Rollins and the Authority and he could tear down the place with a return at Payback. If Lesnar doesn’t show up, we could also live with an appearance from Paul Heyman.

The other two names in the list are Sting and Undertaker. I know it is a long shot, but that is what twists are all about.

#2 Wyatt Family reunites and has a new member

Erick Rowan and Luke Harper recently teased a reunion at SmackDown and it is a good thing for both men. They were exploring the depths of irrelevance as singles superstars and teaming up together is certainly going to brighten up their careers.

What would be better than Rowan and Harper reuniting? The entire Wyatt Family reuniting. Bray needs the duo to showcase that he is still a cult leader and it will benefit both the parties on the longer run.

Following the pattern, what would be better than the entire Wyatt family reuniting? A New Member of course. Bo Dallas is the ideal choice here but we would also like to see one of the talented divas being Sister Abigail.

#1 A Shield Reunion

What is better (okay, the last one) than Wyatt Family reuniting and having a new member? The title says it all. As mentioned earlier, all the Shield members will be there in a major spotlight once again, and WWE could turn the pack heel again if they reunite them.

Seth Rollins will be the the leader with the title while Reigns and Ambrose could be his henchmen. Together, they could take over the WWE just like they did last time around and this time, on a bigger scale. The most exciting part about this possibility will probably be a potential face turn from the Authority and their alignment with Brock Lesnar so that they could take out the Hounds of justice.

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
