This is the moment that established the concept of MITB as something to be taken extremely seriously. This is the moment that set its legacy in stone. Edge, the ultimate opportunist during his best heel run with Lita, cashed in his contract after Cena won a gruelling Elimination Chamber match.

He won and it was perfect. Perfect to showcase the thrilling aspect of a cash- in: the unpredictability, the sudden shock, the speed with which everything you’ve worked hard for can be taken away from you and finally the crowning moment of Edge

The first and original cash in still remains the best.

#2 The heist of the century

Michael Cole put it succinctly. This is the only cash in that has ever come close to matching the thrill of the first ever MITB cash- in. Seth Rollins stuck true to his character. His music hit the stadium and he came charging towards the ring.

He had a few hiccups, but all of it transpired into one of the best Wrestlemania main events ever. Rollins curb stomped Reigns and wrote his name in the history books as the first MITB cash-in winner at Wrestlemania.

And in a tremendous moment, ran away after winning the grandest prize at the grandest stage of all.

He stood near the titantron, hurling his title around and that marked the best end to the PPV.

#3 Stealing the show and knowing it

Alberto Del Rio has never been a relevant character. He’s a great wrestler but he’s always struggled to get over as a heel or a face. Part of the problem is the writing. Dolph Ziggler on the other hand has always been over as a heel and now a face.

The fans love him. Part of the reason is the fact that he deserves so much more than the way he’s booked. So, it was no shock that the audience wanted to see a Ziggler cash-in a night after Wrestlemania 29.

They kept chanting ‘We Want Ziggler’ and WWE finally obliged. Out came Ziggler to one of the biggest pops of the night and even though it looked like this may be a failed cash in, after all it won’t have been shocking since Ziggler has always been booked to struggle, he did it.

He pinned Del Rio to probably the biggest pop of the night and stole the show.

#4 \"If Cena Wins We Riot\"

What was interesting about this cash-in was the fact that RVD informed Cena, the champion, in advance that he’s going to cash in his contract. But the catch was that the championship match will take place at Van Dam’s own yard- ECW.

This was the most fierce crowd of detractors that Cena had ever faced. It actually looked like the fans will do what they were claiming if Cena won. It was the most rabid audience to risk letting Cena win in front of.

Edge again provided a thrilling moment. He speared Cena and helped RVD win.

#5 Heel\'s paradise

Daniel Bryan had finally, finally recieved his moment and he beat Cena clean to get their with the kick heard around the world the world. It was sudden, it was unpredictable and it was great.

The audience leapt in sheer jubilation. And then came Orton, teased a cash-in and then teased a walk-out but eventually it all became a heels paradise. Triple H turned heel, Orton turned heel and the biggest underdog of this era was pinned and robbed of his glory moment.

Thus began his year-long struggle to gain back that championship that culminated in a feel good moment at Wrestlemania 30.
