Sometimes one tends to feel if Creative just puts matches and segments together at the last moment. Are they disaster management or panic attacks? This episode of Raw saw many clashes that one would be puzzled about. Pointless moments are a given, they are bound to happen but this episode was more about the pointless moments than the ones that made a point. Maybe the trick was to make the best moments stand out tremendously, but what if they were overpowered by the worse moments?Anyway, there were still some things to look forward to. Here are the five promising developments from the night

#5 The first strong performance

The odds may be against Orton come Extreme Rules but the 35 year-old started the night on a strong note. The steel cage around him was a nice effect to accentuate the strength of the entire segment. Orton mentioned that the RKO is not the biggest weapon he has in his armoury. He knows how to defeat his opponent by inflicting some massive damages through other means. Orton’s promo was not as vivid and violent a description as Dean Ambrose’s promo last year following Rollins’ betrayal. But it got the point across.

What was even better was Rollins coming out and claiming to not paying attention to Orton and he went on to being the smarmy, smart heel that we know him to be.

Two strong performance to start the night and continue the feud.

#4 Kane

It may have been impossible to find anything interesting related to Kane at this point in his career but something quite interesting happened on Raw. The slow building dissension, the tease of Kane getting frustrated and leaving Authority is the biggest catch the main event feud could have asked for. Kane has been put in- charge of the cage door. The same door that locks Orton and Rollins inside in a match that bans Oron from using the RKO. This development has made the main event much less predictable. Orton finally has a chance of winning.

#3 Naomi\'s going to rock

Naomi’s new found attitude as the latest heel in the company and the women’s division is a welcome, welcome change. Last week, she delivered a good promo backstage and this week she was part of the continuing trend of good women’s matches and also she looked perfect as a heel. Her aggression against an already established heel alliance like the Bella Twins was fantastic to watch. Her newfound role as a heel is a revelation and looks promising.

And at a time when the women are getting sufficient screen time, it will be interesting to see a feud between Naomi and Paige (whenever she returns)

#2 The Other Strong Performance

Sheamus is slowly but steadily moving into the realm of being considered the best heel there is right now in the WWE. He’s going after underdogs and beating the heck out of them much to the dislike of the audience. Dolph Ziggler is featured prominently on his list and his next prey will definitely be Daniel Bryan.

Sheamus faced off against Zack Ryder, began doing his own commentary while sweeping the ring away with Zack Ryder. It was disturbing but that’s why you have to loathe him.

This is the kind of heel, WWE direly needed. One who does not evoke a single cheer, someone who is hated unanimously.

#1 Rollins vs Ziggler

These two could wrestle for the entire show and still have the audience interested. The two best sellers of the WWE faced off in yet another great match which you did not want to end but was ended by an interference by Sheamus- an apt heel move. This worked on three counts. One, we know that whenever Ziggler and Rollins wrestle, it’s going to be something you don’t want to miss. Two, Sheamus is on his way to becoming the best heel in the comapny right now. Three, the typical build up to Extreme Rules was sealed with an RKO, albeit predictable, but an apt end
