WWE Monday Night Raw: 21st April, 2014 - Superstar Ratings

The post-WrestleMania period is certainly looking fruitful for WWE as they put up another excellent episode of Raw.WWE is clearly looking to add a bit of storyline into every match that is happening and its turning out to be an entertaining affair for the fans. On the top tier, the Shield and Evolution battle brewed up while Kane made the fans realize how demonic he is.Cena got another message from the Wyatt family. Cesaro meanwhile fell short in his attempts to capture the Intercontinental title thanks to Jack Swagger. There were some friction between Cody Rhodes and Goldust as well which promises to be something good. With WWE keeping us on the edge of our seats here is a look at the superstar ratings for this week.

#15 Sin Cara- 5

The original Sin Cara was officially released by WWE a few weeks ago but they’ve stuck with Hunico to play the role. Camacho going on a singles run at NXT suggests that Hunico is here to stay but he needs to be booked a bit more intelligently if they want another Rey Mysterio.

A loss against Alexandre Rusev these days may not be much but it was a loss nevertheless even if he got some offense.

#14 Rhodes Brothers- 6

Another week without a win for the Rhodes Brothers, which was capped off with a potential of the brother-brother feud that we’ve been waiting for

It looks like the only direction left for the duo at the moment as they have nothing more to contribute to the tag team scene.

#13 Daniel Bryan- 6.5

Bryan came to a hot crowd as usual only to end up in the hospital thanks to his former tag team partner. Pushing in Brie Bella into the whole thing wasn’t something brilliant as Bryan would’ve been better on his own.

Kane looks like a credible opponent for the champion now and now the feud is personal which will surely end up with a memorable match at Extreme Rules.

#12 The Usos- 6.5

The tag team champions got a good win this week but was soften up by Rybaxel post match. The match between the two teams looks imminent now.

Extreme Rules might be the stage for the showdown as well but the chances of Rybaxel snatching the title away from Usos are slim.

#11 John Cena- 7

The promo that Cena pulled off when the app voting started wasn’t anything to be proud about as it only showed him in his sad dog face.

Then Cena showed excellent resilience in the match but couldn’t cope with the numbers game when it all ended. It was not the Cena that we saw last week as he took a back step to give Bray some more limelight.

#10 Alexandre Rusev- 7

The Bulgarian brute continued his squash run this week with a win over Sin Cara. This match however was an improvement from the previous ones as the masked luchador got some offenses.

It only paved way for Rusev to show how impressive he is. Now he has the chance to prove his metal in pay-per-view as well, that too in a handicap match.

#9 Paige 7

Paige’s title reign has been something to be exciting about till the moment as she piles up her impressive performances.

She also carried Aksana well in the match. but WWE needs to lose her current underdog image and let her flourish in the anti-diva character that she used to have in NXT.

#8 Evolution- 7

After last week’s heroics, Evolution took a lighter note this week taunting the Hounds. Orton and Batista getting mic time wasn’t something we used to see back in the days but it was fun seeing everyone getting in the game.

One of the most decorated heel factions Running away and hiding behind some midcarders wasn’t however what the fans wanted to see.

#7 Cesaro-7.5

They expectations were riding high when Cesaro went up against Rob Van Dam but the match lacked a bit of chemistry between the two. There were some memorable moments but apart from that, Cesaro’s loss was the big news.

He now has a score to settle at Extreme Rules and the Title dreams could wait as he might get his hands on something bigger.

#6 Shield- 7.5

The Hounds of justice didn’t get their revenge this week, but they did have some quality mic time. All the members got a chance to taunt the veterans while Seth Rollins stood out.

Reigns also showed great improvement in his promo skills while Dean Ambrose was great as usual. Admitting that they got beaten up in the past and last week was a good touch from Ambrose. Without any doubt it’s going to be war at Extreme Rules.

#5 Sheamus 7.5

The Celtic Warrior was on top of his game this week even though he lost out to Barrett. Sheamus gave a great effort for the second week running and is improving a lot as time goes by.

His willingness to take more risks made the match look more credible for the fans WWE could now trust him with some sort of a push to make things better.

#4 Rob Van Dam- 7.5

Van Dam busted his rear in the squared circle once again this week and got the reward for his efforts. No one had their money on Van Dam to advance in the tournament when he came up against Cesaro but it happened and now we have an exciting prospect in our hands.

Mr. Monday Night might get another title run under his belt soon but will have to take out some bad news first.

#3 Kane-8

The suit is long gone and what we have now is a Kane that we love. He came and just destroyed Daniel Bryan to a limit that no one expected.

Stephanie McMahon screaming in-between made it look more brilliant and WWE did well to let the fans know that he is not someone who obeys the orders anymore.

#2 Bad News Barrett- 8.5

As weeks go by, Barrett is reminding everyone what they were missing between the ropes. He is red hot at the moment and looked destined to win the tournament.

A fair win against Sheamus only helps him to get more over with the fans and if he ends up getting the title from Big E, it will be a good news for the fans and everyone involved.

#1 Wyatt Family 9

Their handicap match with John Cena was mostly a one sided affair, but the match had its moments. However, the result doesn’t count for the Wyatts as they are going for something bigger.

Bray cradling Cena and singing was a scene worth remembering. He clearly has the upper hand ahead of Extreme Rules where the only question will be how Cena can fight his own demons.

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
