Slow and steady- that’s the build up happening for Wrestlemania if the recent Raw is anything to go by. We know Cena will face Rusev, we know Reigns Vs Lesnar is locked, we know so much and more but yet it’s good that WWE is giving time for these feuds to really fall into place byWrestlemania. All that can be said is that they’ve given everything to the audience on a platter as to ‘this is what Wrestlemania will look like’.There were few teases as well.Here are teh five promising developments from thsi weeks Raw
#5 Ambrose will win the Gold
The narrative that WWE is following with Ambrose is interesting, logical and ultimately good. Ambrose is a guy whos been studying wrestling and wrestling for so many years and he wants to amke the Intercontinental title look like it used to when he was a kid. The title used to be a stepping stone for bigger opportunities. The great video package before Fastlane succinctly put all that in perspective. The obvious things is that Ambrose will win the IC title. But the thing is he believes that winning it and making it prestigious will lead him to the real gold- The WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
And on Monday, he had a little face off with Ziggler and ladies and gentleman, if there is a storyline between these two, it will certainly bring back the titles glory days. Work on it, WWE.
#4 Hakuna Matata
Reigns need not worry for the next 34 days. Fans have been more or less accepted that his main event match against Lesnar is locked and it will be a one on one encounter without the threat of a third competitor. And despite still getting booed, Paul Heyman may just be the guy to help Reigns. Bryan did a good job of putting Reigns over and giving the young star his blessing to beat the unbeatable beast incarnate. And now, over to Heyman. Heyman did all the talking with Reigns speaking less and to the point. It will be Heyman’s tirades and Lesnar’s towering personality that make the difference. They can certainly make Reigns look like the young challenger nobody really expects much from, be it Lesnar/Heyman or the audience.
#3 If only they had time
The Bellas are screeching their way to being one of the best heels in the WWE. It’s really easy to loathe them given their childish, mean girls gimmick. And Paige is someone who is a much more credible wrestler and a standout female performer in the WWE. Everyone hardcore fan who cares about Paige is waiting for her to unleash some badassery. She did show signs last week.If given the time, the Bellas and Paige can have a relevant feud. Also, when Nikki Bella said ‘Don’t touch my sister’ after Paige attacked Brie, may be an important detail.
Might be time for Brie Bella to betray her sister just like Nikki betrayed her at Summerslam. And what better way to do it than the biggest show of them all.
#2 Mizdow is getting job offers
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Mizdow is getting job offers and if a lucrative deal comes his way, he may finally be parting ways with a man who’s more or less made him a slave. Miz was definitely pissed off about this development. It didn’t account for much of the Raw airtime, but it seems that one of the most popular stars on the roster is finally going to get a singles’ run. What if Mizdow actually wins the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Roayl?
#1 Patience, my friend, patience.
Randy orton hasn’t yet avenged the attack that put him out for four months. Stephanie McMahon still welcomed him into the fore and asked him to rejoin the Authoirty. The obvious thing to think was at the main event Orton will cost Rollins’ the match and it was teased all the more and eventually it didn’t happen. He looked enraged and unsettled but he did not attack Rollins. A pat on the shoulder was enough and things are going to burst like a volcano just before Wrestlemania.
