WWE RAW 28th December 2015- 3 things that did not work

A-lister with the Bizarre oneThere were segments that were written well and matches that seemed to be well booked but the opposite happened as well. There were segments that did not do what it set out to do, there were matches that were just too forced and did not seem to have a single point. That hounded the most of this Raw, which was not as appalling as pre- TLC, but it still couldn't overpower the bad, bad part of the show and really it would have been just too much to expect them to do everything just about perfectly. But they had the episode in the palm of their hands with many moments that were really well done and that's the real travesty. Here are the 3 things that did not work

#1 The Opening Segment

Vince McMahon is a great character and Creative finally found a way to get Roman Reigns over. So how do they follow up on that? They write this opening segment that had something amiss since it began.

McMahon tried to run down Reigns family which did not get the hate that it asked for. Reigns punched McMahon but that did not get the audience invested in the angle. Security came in and refused to arrest Reigns and the McMahons were basically owned but the audience did not rupture in ecstasy.

There was something amiss throughout the segment. McMahon was great, though. And so was Stephanie. Reigns did not shine at all here and that was a problem.

#2 New Day Matches

New Day were terrific in their promo. They were compelling and hilarious at the same time. They were up against the misbehaving kids of this universe and all was well with the world.

But then they had two matches. Kofi Kingston faced Kalisto and Big E faced Sin Cara. These matches just ruined the mood that was set with that promo which was certainly one of the better and memorable work that the New Day has done on the mic.

The match Big E had was better but it just couldn't follow what they created with that segment.

#3 Ryback Vs Big Show

This was appallingly obvious. These two faced off and the only thing staggering about it was how boring this encounter was. Big Show has nothing interesting to do these days and if this was filler, it did not even work in that aspect.

This was redundant. This was a waste of effort, if they really want to push Ryback as someone we should support. There was absolutely nothing interesting about this match or the segment that it followed.

Miz TV is so not must- see. They had all the perennial jobbers make their appearance only for Big Show to come and clean house and then lead to this match. Ugh!

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
