WWE RAW 28th September 2015- 3 things that worked

The US Title is back where it belongs

Bromance of the YearIt wasn’t a show that you would love to revisit or rewatch. But there were a few things that you may want to bookmark but there were ultimately as mentioned, a few moments only. One of the most refreshing takeaways for the second week in a row is that theAuthority did not begin Raw.Last week Bray Wyatt and his family kicked off Raw with Reigns and Ambrose making their way and Orton being the equalizer. This week Cena opened the show and it indicated that the much beloved US Title Open Challenge is back. Here are the 3 things that worked this week-

#3 The Tease

The US Title is back where it belongs

Sure, there are people who think that booking the Teddy Long way and turning Cena’s coveted US Title Open Challenge into a tag match wasa bad decision but here’s the thing- This Open Challenge is maybe the best thing to happen to Cena and WWE this year. This is so well done that everybody, for once, wanted Cena to beat Rollins to win the US Title back.

The Open Challenge did not make a return as soon as we’d hoped for but this little tease will help it further as it builds the excitement for its proper return.

#2 Tag Team Turmoil

Will Orton stay for the long haul?

The backstage segment involving Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Randy Orton was not only one of the better segments of the night but this is exactly what keeps this storyline going involving two former Shield members and the Wyatt Family. The thing is Randy Orton may go the same way Chris Jericho did and the doubts and trust issues were highlighted pretty well in this segment.

This may go on until, who knows, Seth Rollins returns to teh group? Remember, the Shield has never defeated the Wyatts clean. One can only dream.

#1 Reigns Vs Wyatt

The perfect main event

This was glorious. The brawl was exactly what these two needed for their feud to survive. And for a show that was average at best, these two provided a match worthy of its placement on the card- The Main Event.

What’s even better is that these two, who’re always featured it all those conversations surrounding the proverbial brass ring, could provide a match of such calibre.

This was a glorious end to a forgettable night.
