From a storyline point of view, this was a harmless episode of Raw. There were some things that could have been avoided but many things stood out to accentuate the mood of the moment. The main event at this moment looks like an eclectic mix of characters. Here are the 5 promising developments from this week for the very near future.

#1 The main Storyline

The show began with the Authority addressing last weeks events which involved Dean Ambrose, John Cena and their own Seth Rollins. The interesting and inevitable thing that happened was the inclusion of Brock Lesnar into the mix and the warning that Paul Heyman delivered on his client’s behalf- Rollins needs to watch out, courtesy that curb stomp Lesnar supersold at Summerslam.

It surely laid the foundation for a very eclectic main event which involves the strong presence of Lesnar, the quintessential babyface Cena, the newest anti-hero Ambrose and the heel of the moment Rollins.

#2 The Intercontinental title Storyline

The IC title picture has suddenly turned into one of the most must see feuds. With Cesaro’s involvement, it guarantees spectacular matches at the least. Ziggler is one of the biggest babyfaces at the moment and his crowd support refuses to die. That has greatly helped to get some spotlight on this long ignored title. Add to the mix the brilliant portrayal of the stunt double by Damien Sandow, and we have an entertaining feud in hand.

On Raw, they had the best match of the night where the title was up for grabs but Ziggler still survived.

#3 The Anti Hero

It’s just impossible to not expect a lot from Dean Ambrose in the promo department. That is his biggest USP. On Raw, he was nothing short of fun. He has been constantly reinstating the fact that he is this generation’s Anti-hero. It is impossible at this point to look at him as the textbook definition of a babyface. The only thing that this segment could have done without is the slimy involvement. The slime was a total spoilsport.

#4 Watch out for Mark Henry

Mark Henry’s acting skills can be compared to the best in the wrestling business. He may be booked ridiculously and he may lose a million matches but his character development in the past few years has been worth documenting. On Raw, his recent string of losses gave way to a more aggressive version of the World’s Strongest Athlete.

There is no doubt that he is at his entertaining best when he’s trash talking in the ring and on the mic. Those days are going to be back soon, it seems.

#5 The Bellas don\'t talk

For the first time in a long time, it wasn’t painful to watch the Bellas and their storyline unfold. On Raw, they did not have one of their infamous promo exchanges. Instead Brie was involved in a triple threat match much like Nikki was at Night Of Champions.

Though, Eva Marie and Cameron are no comparison to AJ Lee and Paige in terms of wrestling calibre, Brie still won the match, something that Nikki could not do. That made more sense than the vomit they’ve been spewing on each other in the name of promos
