While Fast Lane was mostly a good show with a bland crowd. Raw was a good crowd with a bland show. So many things tend to get lost in the three hour shuffle. They could have given the women more than a minute to perform. They could have been less repetitive. But some things rarely, if ever, change. Out of the many good things that might be overcome by an overall bland show are some of the character development that happened on Raw.Here are the five best characters moving on to Wrestlemania

#5 Paul Heyman

Never ignore The Advocate. Never.

Paul Heyman is the most important ingredient in making the main event at Wrestlemania watchable and worth waiting for. Nobody involved in the main event other than him have the art of selling a feud through a promo. Heyman will make you want to watch the main event. Heyman will make you believe that Lesnar is unbeatable even if his end seems to be near and he may just make you believe in Roman Reigns.

#4 Dean Ambrose

Just when one would start murmuring about Ambrose being the Marty Jannetty of the Shield, think again! He may have had the most organic rise in the WWE as the most popular star of the past year and now he’s making a name of himself the old-school way. So much has been said about his knowledge of wrestling that all this seems perfect. Ambrose wants the IC title to become a stepping stone for superstars again. he wants to be the man who brings back the relevance that the IC title once had. And he’s darn serious about it. His promo after Fast Lane and his brief appearance on Raw prove the point effectively.

#3 Stardust

A few years ago, while Cody Rhodes looked like having a breakthroughyear, many fans thought that a match between him and his brother Goldust will be quite interesting. It’s a few years too late for WWE to execute that idea maybe but it’s hard to not be impressed by how well Cody Rhodes plays Stardust. His character development is probably the best that is happening this year and not many may be even noticing that. But the way he reacted when the crowd started chanting ‘Cody’ during his match against Swagger was worth noticing. He has surmounted himself so much to this unorthodox character that it is keeping him away from his family and himself.

#2 Rusev

There is no way that Cena will lose to Rusev again. It’ll be a pleasant surprise if he does as Rusev is at this point, one of the better characters on the roster. He gets a reaction from the crowd, they want to boo him and Lana out of the building and that is half the battle won in WWE.

Cena wasn’t able to give a lesson in respect to Rusev and the Russian was even more disrespectful than before. He dismissed Cena like he was a jobber. This ought to get him the admiration of many Cena detractors and the wrath of his many fans.

#1 Sting

Here you go. Even if it’s pretty clear that kids and adults alike are allured by Sting’s character, WWE came out with a 4 minute video package which showcased why Sting is such a big deal. It was a quick lesson in who this man named Sting really is. One of those rare superstars who expresses more by a mere look than mere words and who has enough charisma to enchant the audience.

The Silent badass. The Vigilante. The only hope.
