If you expected Raw to be better than TLC, then you will be left disappointed. Sure, there were some returns but they were very much predicted. Some just didn’t really set the hook for the rest of the night. The night was more about individual performances. And it has a few performances to talk about. Here are the five promising developments from this week’s Raw.

#5 Time for some special attraction

WWE’s resident special attraction was back and he made his presence felt more than once this night. He helped out Heyman substantially against his match against Chris Jericho. And then ended the night by making Cena visit the ghost of the past Summerslam.

He did that by delivering those German Suplexes that are the reason for his dominant victory over the resident face of the WWE.

#4 Mizdow is still better

Damien Sandow is on a whole new level. His popularity has been growing and will only grow further. He is a babyface with a heel as a partner. There are many injustices that he is facing without without really complaining.

He’s holding replica tag team titles, replica Slammys and basically he is submits to the whims of his snobby tag team partner. it is a character that people will get after. And if we separate Mizdow from the Miz, the effectiveness of his character just goes away. They should remain a tag team with some moments of conflicts.

#3 Rusev has a new opponent

Rusev has been a dominant force in the WWE and has worked aptly as a foreign heel and a substantial amount of credit goes to Lana as well, who is impressive as his manager. He has thankfully moved on from a feud with Jack Swagger to The Big Guy-Ryback.

Ryback is having his umpteenth push and this time, it seems Rusev has some steady competition. It’ll be a bit difficult to just swish Ryback aside with Rusev’s Crush and Accolade.

It is expected to get competitive.

#2 Paul Heyman is back

Paul Heyman returned, not that he’d gone for a long time. But he was back not on satellite but he graced everyone in the arena and the audience at home with his presence in the ring.

He had a fun interaction with Jericho and Rollins the entire night. The only redeeming factor about the main event picture this night was Rollins and Heyman’s performances which couldn’t be emphasized more than it is being done. He was funny and serious at the right moments.

He’s probably the most dependable performer on the mic out there.

#1 Seth Rollins Holds His Own

After a night where he really held his own in the ring against the face of the company, Raw was kicked off with him holding his own in the ring while Jericho and Cena refused to be serious. He was probably the best performer out there in the ring alongside the evergreen best performer- Paul Heyman.

He won the best match of the night and the only redemption of this show which was the main event. He didn’t win clean, but that was an apt conclusion to a very lacklustre feud.
