WWE RAW- 5 Things that did not work

It was mostly a show that did nothing much to make people get invested in Extreme Rules. The fans are still going to watch the PPV, though. It’s in Chicago, hometown of one of the greats, the Voice of The Voiceless, so that means a hardcore fanbase will make their voices get heard. Secondly, the Extreme Rules PPV will be nothing without a few Extreme moments. But as a go- home show, this episode has some redundant moments. There were incidents that went beyond being pointless. Here are the five things that did not work on the go home show of raw for Extreme Rules:

#5 Rollins\' new finisher?

There were rumors that WWE is banning Rollins’ finishing move- the Curb Stomp- because they feel it’s dangerous. More feud was added to the fire when Rollins used another move to finish off his match against Ziggler.

There could be two ways how one can view this- Either this is Rollins’ new finisher or all this is done to make the Curb Stomp look that much good and legendary.

If the former is correct then it’s a huge setback as The Curb Stomp had quickly been established as one of the most recognizeable finishing moves.

#4 Reigns- Dallas

Another pointless segment amidst a very pointless feud between Big Show and Roman Reigns. How are we supposed to cheer for Reigns when they put Dallas in front of him doing his schtick. Bo Dallas is, as of now, a comedy act but he is really good at whatever he’s asked to do. he came off as entertaining and Reigns just superman punched him off the ring.

What are we supposed to think about this? Reigns basically bolted an entertaining act. How is that supposed to be cool?

#3 Dean Ambrose Vs Luke Harper

Although, they are two of the most talented superstars on the roster and the wackiest, WWE hasn’t given this feud much time to develop beyond the brawling that is expected of it. The issue between them has been simple so far. Luke Harper power bombed Ambrose through a ladder outside the ring at Wrestlemania which was probably the most extreme moment of that night.

Ever since then Harper has put Ambrose through the announce table and what not.

And surely, these two may just steal the show at Extreme Rules but there is something missing in this feud. It’s very short term and just put together.

That has been the case with all Ambrose feuds after the great feud against Seth Rollins.

#2 The Open Challenge

Probably, the best part of pro – wrestling today in the WWE suffered a major blow as Kane walked out to challenge John Cena for the U. S Title. It was the worst challenge of the series of challenges put forth by John Cena. With three weeks of awesome matches maybe the WWE wanted to make the audience realize how great this challenge gimmick is and they gave the audience a break from all the great matches it had produced over the past three weeks.

But on a night, when there was not much ‘go-home’ about the go home show, this could have been a relief but it turned out to be a major disappointment.

#1 Miz Vs Mizdow

How times change! One day we’re praising WWE for the way they built up for the split between Miz and Damien Mizdow amidst the heavy match-ups on the Wrestlemania card. And what seemed like one pleasant surprise of WWE actually paying attention to this feud, turned into a dampener as soon as Wrestlemania got over.

This week on Raw Miz and Mizdow competed in their third match against each other. What can we say about this? This match should have taken place on a PPV in front of a crowd that obviously cheers uproariously for Mizdow but instead we have them compete in pointless matches on Raw.

No matter how well these two play their characters, it is now a story about something that could have been but now can never be.
