WWE RAW- 5 Things That Did Not Work

What is Raw without a few disappointments? A much better show. This week there were ample disappoinments which were made quite bearable by the ardent UK crowd. Formulas were inevitably followed and promising feuds were made into a running gag and some super talented individuals were again put to job to the main event guys. The main event scene seems promising yet a travesty.Seth Rollins’ first title defense can now only be saved with a good matchHere are the five things from this weeks show that did not work. At all.

#5 Handicap match

Randy Orton Vs Cesaro can be a great match on its own. These two have, after all, had many good matches back when Cesaro was enjoying a singles push. But all of that is now in the past. Cesaro is no longer a singles competitor, he is now a tag team player. A standard match between Orton and Cesaro was turned into a handicap match with Tyson Kidd being the newest addition. Of course, this formula was set up to make Orton look stronger and reset the difference between a main event guy and mid card guys, usually tag teams.

What a way to chide away some great talent by just making them lose in a handicap match.

#4 Mizdow wins

This should come as a major delight, yes. It did but what has happened to this once promising feud?

A good match and an entertaining storyline would have done wonders for both stars involved, after all they are two of the most entertaining characters who play their roles to perfection but WWE made them compete in pointless matches for the second week in a row.

Summer Rae plays her character really well too but the writing for this feud has done nothing much for the people who play their characters well.

#3 Writing for Ambrose

Dean Ambrose was absent last week. He did not make an appearance on Raw, neither did he appear on Smackdown. That makes his fans, who are aplenty, wonder what’s happening with him. Actually, one will be wondering the same thing ever since he was a favorite to win the Intercontinental Championship until the title scene got crowded.

He hasn’t won a PPV and now it seems he’ll be going after Luke Harper.

He made his appearance today in a short match against Adam Rose, with Rose getting not much offence in.

It was quite pointless for someone as popular as Ambrose.

#2 Kane

Kane, like Big Show, has gotten stale over tha past couple of years. There are no words left to describe what characters they have become. Nothing is surprising. Everything from their face turns to their heel turns have become too ardous to watch. Kane had a good storyline going into his match against Seth Rollins. He’s sick and tired of being bossed around. For a veteran, this has to be painful to adhere to.

This storyline may only work if Rollins continues his heel momentum and makes beating him up by Kane recieve a mammoth reaction.

#1 Same old trick

The steel cage is back and what sense does it make to have that stipulation to have the Authority stay away from the match? They still made their presence felt during Ambrose Vs Rollins at Hell In A Cell. For everything that was watchable in this segment, Rollin and Orton have lost that chemistry towards the build to Extreme Rules.

The only thing that seems momentuous and interesting is the fact that it is the young champion’s first title defense.

Apart from that, the storyline seems to be in dire need to end before it becomes as unbearable as the gimmicks of Kane and Big Show.
