WWE RAW 5th October 2015- 3 things that worked

New Day are increasingly being featured in the limelight

Paige before the start of her matchWhile not one of the best episodes of Raw this year, several segments, matches on this week’s flagship of the WWE showcased a lot of promise. There were instances that will remain memorable, no matter how topsy turvy Raw usually tends to get with the good moments and the bad.Cena was present, issuing his Open Challenge in the main event of Raw, which is well deserved. It is one of the best things to happen in pro- wrestling this year. What followed afterwards, is something to be talked about. So is a raging rivalry. Here are the 3 moments from this episode’s Raw that worked really well -

#1 Why So Serious?!

New Day are increasingly being featured in the limelight

When Xavier Woods accompanied by his New Day comrades accepted Cena’s Open Challenge last week, Cena strictly urged them to get serious. This week, Ziggler’s music played following Cena’s usual introductory promo during an open challenge.

But Ziggler was nowhere to be found.

Until...

The New Day came out dragging an unconscious Ziggler with them. They asked Cena whether this was serious enough.

That was perfect. With this, the New Day is getting closer to the spotlight. They’ve been put in high stakes situation and have worked wonders with this gimmick.

#2 The Rivalry

The Family is here.

Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns needed to find each other. While this may be an introduction to a tale of romance, this is strictly a raging rivalry.

Bray Wyatt has found the best longtime opponent for the first time since his debut. So has Reigns. The three-man tag was a great showcase of what chemistry these two share. They followed the breathless main event from last week with aplomb.

Their program guarantees the entertainment value with 3-man tags and their indvidual match at Hell In A Cell.

#3 Paige vs Natalya

Natalya made Paige tap out.

Natalya won a match on Raw. What matters is that she won it clean making none other than Paige tap out. That’s ought to count for something. Natalya has been the best babyface in the Divas division. Paige has been one of the most discussed performers on the roster, after her pipebomb a couple of weeks back.

This loss may not immediately garner Paige a spot in Hell in a Cell against Charlotte, for the divas title. She needs to get past Natalya first.

This may be a start to something better for Natalya.
