WWE Monday Night Raw Preview: 14th April, 2014

The WWE universe has started to forget about most of the botches that WWE made in WrestleMania thanks to a Raw which blew the roof of last week. There were so many developments throughout the roster, that the Internet Wrestling Community even stated that this might be the inception of a new era in professional wrestling. after Undertakers two decade long streak came to an end and new stars getting paramount pushes, the assumption may well be right. But what WWE now needs to do will be to follow up on what they build and make sure that they dont waste it. So this weeks Raw is going to be important as ever and lets take a look at what all things might happen.

#5 Rejuvenated Divas Division

Paige is arguably the best thing that happened to the divas division in recent history. She shocking AJ Lee and getting the title is without any doubt the start of a new era in the Divas division.

Over the past year, WWE only saw women’s wrestling as a way to push their reality show and AJ Lee was the only one who was there to “Wrestle”. And her title reign suggested the same since there was no one worth holding the title apart from a Natalya who was busy with Total Divas.

But last week, things turned upside down. Some may argue that Paige alone won’t make any impact but the fact is, she already have put the Divas division on the map. She could go on a long running feud with AJ and also have some of her talented NXT girls over and make it about wrestling than eyecandy.

After losing the title in such a shocking fashion, AJ reaction this week might steal the show as well. and hopefully this might turn out to be like a replica of the Trish Stratus- Lita feud that redefined women’s wrestling.

#4 New breed from the NXT invasion?

WWE giving emphasis to the young and upcoming talent of NXT was arguably the theme of last week’s Raw. We saw Paige and Alexandre Rusev make big impacts and also saw some vignettes of possible new additions to the main rosters.

So is WWE going to stick around with the vignettes or are they going to let is loose right away?

It’s an interesting question to be precise since the fans are in a period of transition and wouldn’t mind having new faces as soon as possible.

Last week WWE teased the promotion of Bo Dallas and Adam Rose, who might well get in the squared circle soon enough.

Along with them there are rumors of names like Sami Zayn and Adrian Neville being called up which is clearly going to raise the bar for everyone in the company.

#3 Possibility Vince McMahon showing up

The boss has been off the television for a long time now and the fans are certainly missing his presence and the things he used to bring to the table.

Though many expected Vince to return at WrestleMania, it didn’t happen and he just stayed in the back ground letting his daughter and her husband take the centre stage. But this week is going to be different.

Vince is sure to make an appearance on Raw and address the crowd after the passing of the Ultimate Warrior. That’s because no matter how long he stays out from television he is without any doubt the born leader of the promotion.

In the past as well, Vince had come out and showed that leadership in such situations and taking into account the history between the two, Vince needs to make it count.

#2 The Stable war

If Daniel Bryan and his struggle against the Authority ruled the pre-WrestleMania period, it’s going to be the war between the Shield and the Authority that will rule the post period.

Bryan and his yes movement have achieved everything he could’ve and it would’ve been repetitive if the WWE decided to keep on going with the storyline. But they played the chips intelligently and now we have a great possibility of seeing the past and present collide.

Batista and Randy Orton showed great amount of chemistry and them aligning with Triple H is a reunion that we all wanted. And on the other side, we have the Hound of justice who is on a hot run after the face turn.

Daniel Bryan meanwhile could go on a championship feud with some other big name in the roster making it an all fresh affair.

#1 The Ultimate Warrior tribute

Anyone who saw last week’s Raw wouldn’t have even thought in their worst nightmares that it was the last time they will ever see the Ultimate Warrior.

With the WWE on the verge of a big transition, Warrior’s death came as a big blow for everyone. It will go down in the history as a sad moment no matter what Warrior did in the past.

The WWE universe and the superstars are all set to pay tribute to his legendary career and the whole three hour show this week will entirely be focused on doing so. We are bound to see some great snippets from his glorious days and might well see some big names making appearances as well.

WWE breaking Kayfabe and giving their respect to someone is not something which we won’t be able to see every day. And on the exciting part, we are sure to be offered with some great matches which me might only see in the pay-per-views.
