Comparitively, it was a good episode of Raw. But there are always things that the WWE can improve upon. This time around it looks like they are trying but it is not really working out completely. While the night started with a brilliant segment where John Cena exceeded expectations and delivered a stellar promo, Stephanie McMahon built up even more intrigue to the SummerSlam card.She faces Brie Bella and since Bella has her job back, that leaves the outcome of the match in the air.But yet there were some disappointment from this episode and here they are:
#1 The Paige is still blank
Paige and AJ had a very dull segment wherein nothing happened to make Paige look like an engaging character or a threat. Theyre both great in the ring. But their segments always fall short of expectations. So next time, Ill watch with absolutely no expectations. What followed last weeks engaging segment was just a bland to and fro between the two. Paige was the definition of badass on NXT. That gimmick seemed reasymade for her but here she is more like a concieted Regina Georgemean girl avatar. it is not working so far.
#2 Give them some more time
Okay, the WWE is trying to get the divas division back on track and they had three diva segments on Raw nd one of them ended up being the main event. Two of them were promos and one was a tag match which was trying to continue the Cameron- Naomi angle. If only they had given it some more screen time then it would have been much clear what was actually taking place. Everything seemed abrupt about their storyline on raw tonight despite the fact that it has had ample intrigue from the audience who are finally giving the desired reactions to the divas.
#3 No Dean Ambrose
If you are or have become a fan of Dean Ambrose then you obviously noticed that he was nowhere to be seen on Raw. He apparently appeared in a dark match after Raw went off air. He has arguably been a wildcard ever since the Shield split. And a very unlikely babyface which has increasingly led many to believe that he is the next true anti-hero. There was not much of a Rollins- Ambrose build up. It is already a highly anticipated bout but still, Ambrose not being present on Raw was a bit of a disappointment for his ardent fans
#4 The Wyatt Family interruption
Chris Jericho and Seth Rollins were having one of those matches which get better with each passing minute. They looked like they were going to have a clasic and then suddeenly the Wyatts came to the ring and made it clear to every ardent WWE fan that this feud is going to SummerSlam. What a way to spoil a match! This interruption was nothing new and Wyatt’s promos and gimmick are not really helping things one bit with all this repetition.
#5 Partypoopers
the main roster has been deprived of the fun that the NXT crowd has with Adam Rose’s gimmick. Here Adam Rose is quickly beginning to llok like the next fandango. he has been stuck in the comic relief department with Damien Sandow, who has been made to go through a Zack Ryder like fall in the WWE. Why o’ Why do talents get wasted like that by the WWE?
