Satire: 5 reasons why 3MB is better than The Shield

There have been legendary three member teams in the history of the WWE. The Russians, The Fabulous Free birds, Too Cool, The Hart Dynasty, The NWO etc are just some of the fine examples we can think of.But, with the evolution of professional wrestling, a lot of changes has descended upon the WWE. The repercussions have spread to the tag team division as well and the entire division has shrunk in stature when compared to yesteryears.In an era where sustaining as a two member team is in itself very difficult, there is one team with three members that is making all the right noises ( pun intended ). No! I'm not talking about The Shield. I'm in fact talking about 3MB.It is quite unfair that the WWE has gone all out to promote only the so called 'Hound of justice'. So, here I am, advocating 3MB as I give you five reasons why they deserve better than the Shield.

#1 Cultural and Ethnic Diversity

Culture has been an important and integral part of professional wrestling. The WWE has played host to many superstars coming from various ethnic backgrounds. 3MB honors this value that the WWE has inculcated by having members from various countries. Namely, Jinder Mahal from India, Drew McIntyre from Scotland and my personal favorite Heath Slater from America as its core force.

The Shield however do not adhere to the values the WWE upholds. All of their members are either from the USA or have plied their trade here including Roman Reigns, a Samoan descendent.

#2 Abbreviation

Having catchy abbreviations for team names have always given them an edge over the others. Fans fill their placards with team slogans and abbreviations to express their support which in turn entices the teams to perform better and connect with the WWE universe. From the NWO to DX, teams with meaningful expansions to their short forms have set the trends rolling.

3MB have also followed the trend and have the words '3 Man Band' as their expansion, which legitimately symbolizes the 3 men in the team as a part of the band. Now how cool is that?

Our friends, The Shield on the other hand have Sierra, Hotel, India, Echo, Lima, Delta as their expansion. Now SERIOUSLY?

#3 Unity

To become a successful tag team outfit, a team must possess the most important quality of all, Unity! Popular and powerful outfits like the NWO, DX, Evolution etc have all met their downfall because of lack in unity. 3MB on the other hand have displayed plenty of unity over the years. Whether it has been in the ring or when cutting some of their 'nothing short of epic' promos, they have always stayed together by all means.

The Shield on the other hand lack unity. They are nothing but a bunch of power hungry professionals put together in a team and given a fancy name. To substantiate my view, I present to you with a few examples.

Roman Reigns eliminated both his fellow team members at the 2014 Royal Rumble and showed no regret.

There is always some disparity in the team at all times. This was evident when Seth Rollins slapped fellow Shield member Dean Ambrose when cutting a promo. So, 3-0 to 3MB.

#4 Entrance

Now when was the last time you saw a team unethically make an entrance from amongst the crowd and ambush unsuspecting superstars? We'll you'd pretty much say everyday, as this is what The Shield have perennially been doing. This is an act of extreme cowardice and it is surprising how the WWE officials have not taken action against this.

Whereas 3MB legitimately make an entry to the ring time and again to give the front row guys who have probably shelled out a fortune for those tickets their money's worth. Even in case they plan an ambush, they make a dash for it only from the main entrance. What happens next is however irrelevant.

#5 Respecting legends

When it comes to the WWE, there are a healthy bunch of superstars who vie for the top spot. Only few have been able to accomplish this feat and go on to become legends. 3MB respects such legends wholeheartedly.

It is because of 3MB that legends like The Animal, Sid Justice, Lita , Rikishi , DDP and even The Undertaker ( Remember Raw 1000? ) were able to pick up victories even at the lop sides of their career. The fans would have certainly wanted these legends to become victorious and 3MB or should I say Heath Slater catered to the fans needs like always.

The Shield however disrespects legends . They ambushed The Undertaker and threw an icon like him through a table, putting him out of action for quite a while, much to the fan's disappointment. They were still not done with their heinous act as they next targeted WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair, who was lucky enough to be saved by Ryback. They did not spare the 'people's Champion' The Rock as well, first outnumbering him and then attacking the former champion.

If you do not respect legends, then you do not deserve to be the top dog in the industry.

Hence proven, 3MB > The Shield.
