WWE Royal Rumble 2015: 5 Matches fans deserve to see at the PPV

The 2015 edition of WWE Royal Rumble is just a couple of weeks away and though it’s the legendary Battle Royal that takes centre stage on the occasion, it would be hard to ignore the undercard matches.Over the years, we have seen how crucial the undercard matches are when it comes to making the show a complete success and this year would be no different. The problem however is WWE’s laziness. Though we are just days away from the show, they haven’t booked any match.Apart from the Triple Threat for the Championship and the Battle Royal, there isn’t any credible draw for Royal Rumble and here is a look at some of the matches that we, the fans deserve to see when WWE hits Philadelphia for the PPV.

#5 Natalya vs Nikki Bella vs Paige

The Divas Division suffered a big blow when AJ Lee got injured. To be frank, she was the glue that held things together and without AJ, the company needs to throw in something credible at Rumble if they want to keep the girls busy.

Paige was the obvious next choice to step up against Nikki Bella but the writers decided to add in Natalya into the mix which broadens the scenario.

Both Nattie and Paige are probably two of the best female wrestlers in the roster and they would have no trouble carrying Nikki through a match. A triple threat will be there to determine the new WWE Champion and WWE should play a similar card in the divas division as well to make this match happen.

#4 Ascension vs The Usos

For one reason or the other, someone in WWE thought that it would be a good idea to introduce Ascension as the next Road Warriors. The duo had a great gimmick back there in NXT and needed no extra decorations for their main roster run, however, WWE thought otherwise and we ended up with this mess.

All the matches that The Ascension had, so far, failed to produce the desired results and the team is now looking like nothing more than some wannabes.

WWE should clean up their mess as early as possible and placing the tag titles on them would be a great idea. Fans will start taking them seriously afterwards even if the Usos will get buried a bit.

#3 Ryback vs Rusev

WWE has been building up this feud for quite some time now but was sidetracked after the Authority returned. The Big Guy was the victim of Hunters power trip when he was fired this week on Raw but WWE could always run a job vs. title match between these two.

Putting Rybacks job on the line at Rumble would be a great angle indeed and since both men proved their chemistry in the past few weeks. It also makes sense since Rusev was part of Team Authority, but the problem is his unpinned run.

Rybacks job on the line means Rusev has a big chance of losing and if he doesnt, then that would once again put Ryback out of the job.

#2 Dolph Ziggler vs Bad News Barrett

Once again, WWE needs to introduce the job vs. title stipulation if this match is to happen. The whole world was shocked when Barrett snatched the title from Ziggler on this weeks Raw and the Show off deserves a chance to retain the gold.

He felt the Authoritys wrath and was fired in the closing moments of Raw but we all know how valuable Ziggler is for the company. They cannot let him skip an important pay-per-view like Royal Rumble and the best opponent for a return is Barrett.

Given some proper time and freedom, both men could deliver a five star match at the show and could even outclass most of the other matches that WWE will book.

#1 Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose

Before the Roman Reigns fans cause a riot, think it through. After Daniel Bryan’s return, if Reigns wins the Rumble, he is going to be crucified by the WWE Universe. In fact, anyone apart from Bryan will get booed for winning the Rumble at Philadelphia.

The other possible big match for Reigns was against Triple H but since Hunter is locking horns with Sting, the Samoan Superstar doesn’t have many options.

Ambrose, on the other hand, just blew off his feud with Bray Wyatt with a loss and is looking for new grounds to venture. A feud between these two might make Reigns look like a heel, but Ambrose will surely put over his former Shield companion.
