WWE Royal Rumble 2015: 5 things that should happen at the pay-per-view

WWE will look back into 2014 with a lot of regrets. A majority of their decisions and storylines bombed big time while only some stood out as credible ones. The company would be desperately trying to avoid repeating all those mistakes they did this year and the first step for that would come at Royal Rumble. The historic significance and the importance of being the first pay-per-view of the year makes Royal Rumble fall into the never ever- screw up category. Vince McMahon will be well aware of this fact and in turn will look to do something spectacular when the moment finally arrives. There are some booking decisions out there that WWE could add to the recipe to make sure that Rumble doesnt sink and here is a look at all of them.

#5 Some surprise entrants

Let’s start with the basics here. The best part about the Royal Rumble pay-per-view is the curiosity of not knowing who the next entrant will be. It might be a Hall of Famer, it might be a big return or it might even be the announcers who seem extremely ordinary till then.

No matter whom it is, the WWE Universe loves to get surprised. Not having this factor incorporated into the battle royal could spell big time disaster for Vince McMahon.

Seeing some nostalgic faces is an obvious expectation from everyone who will tune in. WWE could bring in the lights of some ECW originals since the show is happening in Philadelphia. And yes, CM Punk would do the work as well.

#4 Bray Wyatt Dean Ambrose match ending cleanly

Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose had probably the match of the night at TLC until some genius decided to put a good working television monitor under the ring. They might’ve put it under there for the Boogeyman to watch the match but even if that’s the case, the ending was botched.

These two superstars have been breaking down the walls ever since their feud started but are still yet to have a clean ending where any one superstar gets a win over the other.

That stat needs to be changed at Rumble and if there is a question on who should win from the two, the answer should be Dean Ambrose. The Lunatic Fringe might not need any win to stay relevant but the fact is, he hasn’t won any Pay-per-view matches after breaking away from the Shield.

#3 Kofi show stealing Kingston

Yes, Royal Rumble is about all those surprise returns and someone getting an opportunity to headline WrestleMania but you know what is more exciting? Seeing Kofi Kingston pull off some unbelievable things to stay in the game.

Kingston is surely not going to win the Rumble match and face Lesnar at WrestleMania (if Vince is drunk, Kofi could) but what he could do is steal the show.

He has been doing some insane stuff in almost all the battle royals he participated in and Rumble should be no different. To make matter more exciting, WWE could give Kofi the space for more than one spot as we never get bored of seeing him do these stuff.

#2 The Roman Reigns Rumble win

It’s not because a majority of the WWE Universe is blindly following Reigns, it’s because, and there is no other potential option left. We don’t want to see John Cena win it and Undertaker is a long shot from the recent pictures of him that has surfaced.

Sting on the other hand is a good candidate but with only a handful of appearances left in his contract, him becoming champion at WrestleMania is unlikely. We would love to see the lights of Ambrose or Bray Wyatt reach the top but then again, it’s Vince McMahon who runs the company.

Which leaves us to our last option, Roman Reigns. Reigns winning the Rumble and defeating Lesnar at WrestleMania is a perfect scenario to end the Beast’s run while all others will be blunders on the long run.

#1 Lesnar dominating Cena, again

Lesnar and Cena faced off two times in their current feud with Cena losing all two. At Rumble, WWE should improve that streak and make it 3-0 in favor of Paul Heyman’s client.

With Lesnar’s contract running out at rapid rate, one would expect him to put over Cena at Rumble. However, if that happens then Cena will headline WrestleMania while all the buildup of Lesnar throughout this year would go in vain.

The alternative is a dominant Lesnar win which would make him look much stronger heading into WrestleMania. No one would complain about Cena losing since it’s the best for business move after all.

Lesnar could then face Reigns at WrestleMania while Cena have options such as Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins for the grand stage of them all.
