The go home show for Extreme Rules on Smackdown aired this thrusday and whileit was nothing special or better than Raw, it was still decent for the most part as it is second to Raw in terms of main roster relevance. A few storylines continued, many storylines were discontinued or not utilized enough or so it seems. All of this, despite its limitations or lack of creativity it set the path for all the exytreme moments waiting to happenthisSunday..Here are the five points to note from this weeks Smackdown go home show for WWEs latest pay per view-

#1 Just when you thought you knew them..

...they shock you. Kane has been one of the most boring superstar in recent times since his role of an authoritarian came to the fore. The Demon waned away and what came next was nothing to be scared off.It was plain annoying, until this week.

This week, Kane did what nobody thought could happen. He made himself look interesting, he made us in some way even think about the main event at Extreme Rules. The tension between Rollins and Kane is much more visible now. Rollins began Smackdown by insulting Kane as an ageing, washed out superstar. He was mainly annoyed because of Kane’s involvement in his match as the Keeper of the key to the steel cage.

Kane came out and gave Rollins a thundering verbal beatdown, so much so that, Rollins lay down in fear of the guy who’s saved him many a victories.

#2 Just when you thought..

… that the WWE was doing something great with a character that has long been termed as boring and reached a saturation point, they go on to disappoint you and bring you back to reality.

Kane pulled a babyface move and had Rollins face his best rival till date. Dean Ambrose came out to face an opponent he still has unfinished business. Why would WWE do that to something that should have its own slow build up and made available for a special moment?

But they did it and they sent out Luke Harper because he’s Ambrose’s latest rival. They could have saved Rollins and Ambrose from even laying hands on each other but they did that anyway.

And then it was commotion

#3 The following formula is-

So, Harper and Rollins went after Ambrose and Reigns came out to help his brother out. And a tag team match was made to be conducted later on in the night.

So here’s the formula-

1. Have Seth Rollins come out be a smarmy heel.

2. Have Ambrose come out and tease a match to get a big pop.

3. Have another guy help out Rollins

4. Let Reigns come out to help his Shield brother

5. Let the ring be filled with all three member of The Shield

6. Nostalgia.Tag Match

7. Great main event.

#4 Back together

Well, if one is still confused if the feud betwen Ambrose and Rollins is over, one has to be definitely confused if Rusev and Lana are in terms with each other after the couple of times we’ve seen Rusev get mad at Lana.

With Ambrose and Rollins, it’s all becoming a case of what could have been as both of them could continue their great feud but WWE keeps on making them interact with each other erratically on Smackdwon for cheap thrills.

With Lana and Rusev, there is a reason for not putting light on Rusev’s behaviour as he is a brute, he’s known to be a savage, so his aggression is something that you would think that Lana accepts.

#5 A good tag team match

A good tag team match came out of teams that are no longer or never were tag teams. Neville and Ziggler teamed up to face Sheamus and Barrett.

All four superstars worked well together, especially with their respective teammates.

Sheamus and Barrett are brawlers and talented wrestlers. Ziggler and Neville are fast- paced, they worked out a nice little match.

If they ever form a tag team , all four of them, it has the postential to be hugely entertaining.
