The final build up to Wrestlemania- the totally, absolutely, final build up- culminated on Smackdown which had enough recaps from Raw and enough video packages and enough actual segments and matches for its two hour show. It wasnt a bad show at all. The main event was quite just put together as the final hype for Wrestlemania with its eclectic mix of superstars. But what the highlight of the show came from the divas division. And thats why Smackdown should be watched to see the progression in the storyline between AJ, Paige and Nikki and Brie Bella. Here are the five points to note from this weeks Smackdown-

#1 Good Times

The Divas Division is clearly in its best phase ever when compared to the past few years. The feud between The Bellas and AJ and Paige has a lot of meaning imbibed into it and the storyline is finally looking really, really, good. With a few days left for Wrestlemania, this storyline has shown some major improvement and intent compared to any other storyline.

On Smackdown the teams engaged in a fierce war of words with both the teams looking strong.

The Bellas were the mean girls and Paige and AJ represented the freaks and the geeks.

This segment stole the show.

#2 She worked for it

Nikki Bella is right when she says that people really forget to consider the work that she and her sister have put in to become what they have. Nikki Bella has improved leaps and bounds in the ring and her promo work is going good as well. On Smackdown she told AJ Lee that Brock Lesnar has worked more shows than AJ this year. That definitely struck a chord.

Since the higher ups are giving the women on the roster such as the Bellas and AJ, Paige the opportunity for longer matches and segments and proper storylines- all of them, particularly Nikki Bella, have been impressive.

Her reign has already been memorable and that is a rare successful case for the division which has been turmoil since the past few years.

#3 Undertaker and Johnny Cash are a hit

On Smackdown, the video package for Taker vs Wyatt aired and while this wasn’t as great a music package for Bray Wyatt as last year’s package with Eminem’s ‘Legacy’, it was majorly great for Undertaker’s part. His part had Johnny Cash’s ‘Man Comes Around’ playing and it meshed really well. Johnny cash’s voice has that commanding power that suits Undertaker’s gimmick. Who can forget ‘Ain’t No Grave’ and the lyrics ‘There ain’t no grave that can hold my body down’

#4 The Boo Brigade

Who knows how much powerful the boos are going to be at Wrestlemania 31 for Reigns! John Cena went into the hardcore fan arena of Miami, Florida to face The Rock in his first singles match in almost 10 years and that too in his hometown. It wasn’t that bad for Cena as that one iconic match in an ECW arena. Reigns may just recieve that sort of a reaction at Wrestlemania. In a pre-taped show, he was booed when he came out to save super- babyface Daniel Bryan.

Hell hath no fury like a hardcore fan scorned!

#5 One shining moment

The tag team scene has had the worst build up possible for Wrestlemania 31 and it does them some good that this is a pre-show match. On Smackdown they engaged themselves in a match that can be deemed as one of their better encounters with Cesaro using some of his trademark unique offense. There is so much potential to tap into. If only the higher ups treated the team the way they’re finally treating the Divas division on the main roster, things would be so much better.
