WWE SummerSlam 2015: 5 Possible Endings For John Cena vs. Seth Rollins

Kane and Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins and KaneThe WWE Championship, by the looks of it, may be taking a back seat to Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. However, the title is still going to attract a lot of eyeballs and if one title was not enough, the United States Championship is also on the line. The feud between Rollins and Cena got a big boost through Cena’s broken nose and WWE is probably going to bank on the same on Sunday. With both the titles on the line, the match is expected to have some twists and turns but at the end of the day, the climax of the bout is bound to make headlines. WWE has a handful of ways in which they could end the match and here is a look at the best ones from the lot.

#5 Kane gets his revenge on Rollins

Kane and Seth Rollins

Kane has been off television ever since he was attacked by Brock Lesnar. Everyone will be expecting Kane to go after Lesnar after returning but what if Kane goes after Rollins? Rollins embarrassed a fallen Kane a few weeks back and Kane has all the reasons under the sun to seek revenge. The Rollins vs. Cena match needs to be booked safely for both superstars and interference would do the job.

If Kane comes back wearing the mask, the fans will be thrilled to see the same and might even forgive WWE for ending the match in an indecisive manner. As for the feud, WWE could make it a three-way battle between these superstars which in turn would widen the field and give Kane one last run in the title scene.

#4 Playing it Safe

John Cena

An interference finish is a great idea to play it safe. However, if Kane is not scheduled to be back for SummerSlam, then WWE doesn’t have anyone else who could interfere in the match. So the next best option to play it safe would be a disqualification ending. Rollins has a history of breaking Cena’s nose and back then, Cena continued the match despite the injury.

This time around, WWE could end the match in disqualification once Rollins crosses the limit. Bringing back the Cinder block- Curb Stomp combination would be a great move and it would allow Rollins to look more credible as a champion. If not the Curb stomp, they could at least allow a pedigree on the cinder blocks although it would be a lot more dangerous.

#3 Sheamus Cashes in

Sheamus

Sheamus would be a key factor at SummerSlam. He has the Money in the Bank briefcase with him and could perform cash in on John Cena after Cena wins. It would take the heat away from Cena and at the same time, would take Rollins out of the scenario if that is what WWE wants. The problem with this finish is Cena’s United States Championship. It will still be around his waist and will go irrelevant while Cena goes after the WWE title.

So if WWE has a plan of letting Sheamus cash in, then it should come after a Rollins win. That way, Rollins can get hold of the United States Championship, which he can then drop to someone before going behind Sheamus.

#2 Rollins breaks the deadlock

Seth Rollins

One of the current Deadlocks that WWE has at the moment is John Cena’s United States Championship reign. WWE would love to take the title away from him right now but at the same time, they are reluctant to let Cena lose clean for the same. Their best opportunity to crown a new United States Champion will come at SummerSlam.

Rollins is looking like a real threat to Cena after the nose breaking incident and at the same time, since the WWE championship is involved, the US title change will be given less importance. Rollins is the best candidate to take the title from Cena which makes this a real possibility.

#1 Cena, the superman

John Cena

The inclusion of John Cena in the WWE Championship scene has agitated the fans a bit. A portion of the fan base is not at all happy about the booking and it might be there to see if Cena wins the match. If WWE is going to let Cena match the record of Ric Flair at SummerSlam, the internet is going to break. And it is going to get ugly.

Cena holding both the titles would be the worst nightmare for the Internet fans. Rollins will end up being nothing more than a scapegoat and even if he goes behind the title, the chances of him getting it back from Cena will be next to none. This ending is not something that we want, but WWE may feed us just the same.
