WWE SummerSlam 2015: 7 possible endings for Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar match

Undertaker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels

Brock LesnarWWE Universe stood still on April 6, 2014. Although Daniel Bryan went on to tell a fairytale underdog story on the night, what broke the internet was Undertaker's streak ending. Paul Heyman's client managed to become the one behind twenty-one and one that night and WWE's landscape changed forever.A year and half later, WWE is forced to have a rematch of that legendary bout due to various reasons. This time, Summerslam will play host to Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker and the dynamics have seen some drastic changes. On paper, the match is a big draw and WWE will have to come up with a credible enough ending to cap it off. And they have some pretty good options at their disposal as well; here is a look at them.

#7 Undertaker aligns with the Authority

Undertaker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels

Brock Lesnar was a big threat to Seth Rollins. Rollins, meanwhile, was the golden boy of the authority. So, by the theory of association, Lesnar is a natural threat to the Authority. There was a desperate need to take out Lesnar due to the same so what if Undertaker was hired for this purpose by the Authority?

The angle would make complete sense and will make the Authority even stronger. Taker could stick around as a non-wrestling heel in the Authority and go on to have a match with Seth Rollins when WWE wraps up the angle. Also, when Sting returns, he would have a reason to fight Undertaker. But above all, think about the Authority that has Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Kane, Undertaker, and Seth Rollins.

So basically at Battleground, Authority would have to just screw Lesnar over by aligning with Undertaker.

#6 A heel faction for Undertaker

Undertaker and Wyatt Family

What would it feel like if a bunch of guys from the locker room come out and beat down Brock Lesnar?

While Undertaker joining hands with the Authority is an exciting prospect, Taker starting his own faction is even more exciting. With his health condition, Undertaker will not be able to wrestle every week. He, however, could appear every week and lead a stable of heels against the WWE roster.

Undertaker could join with Bray Wyatt and take over the Wyatt Family. He could even save the doomed tag team that everyone politely calls Ascension. Alternatively, Taker could line up some guys from NXT and simply take over the main roster. Both ways, the heel turn will allow him to remain prominent on weekly television and this will boost WWE’s television ratings for sure.

#5 All out Brawl

No disqualification ending is a possibility

Emotions will be running wild at SummerSlam. After the all-out brawl that we saw at Monday Night Raw, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the match ends in a disqualification. Each superstar would be looking to inflict pain on the opponent and since WWE is yet to add any stipulation for the match, a tainted ending is a big possibility.

This would work if WWE has some more dates from Lesnar and Undertaker. The company could build the feud for two more months and finally blow it off at Survivor Series. The pay-per-view would benefit big time from a match like this and since WWE has already sold out SummerSlam, they could use this trick.

#4 Revenge of the Big Red Machine

Kane

Kane was taken out of action by Brock Lesnar. The Beast incarnate absolutely destroyed Kane during the segment and Kane will be looking for revenge once he returns. What if Kane returns with his mask at SummerSlam?

We could see a reunion of the Brothers of Destruction and together, they could take Lesnar out. It might sound like a cheap ending but it keeps Lesnar protected. He will be projected as a beast that was taken out by two lunatic brothers and nothing less. The reunion would mark out the WWE Universe and that moment will probably be enough to make them happy. Brock Lesnar could recruit someone later and we could have a tag team feud for Survivor Series.

#3 Undertaker gets his revenge

Undertaker

Lesnar put an end to the two-decade-long run of Undertaker at WrestleMania 30 and Taker has all the reasons to seek revenge. It’s been almost two years since the streak ended. Though it is a bit late for pulling off a revenge storyline WWE seems to be doing just that. Undertaker won his match against Bray Wyatt at this year’s WrestleMania and if allows him to win at SummerSlam, Taker would be a bigger threat in time for WrestleMania 32.

This result, however, will put an end to the reign of Lesnar. He has been an unstoppable beast ever since he broke the streak and this immortality would be buried by the Undertaker at SummerSlam if this ending materializes.

#2 The beast raises his stock

Brock Lesnar

Lesnar reached the top of the mountain when he defeated Undertaker at WrestleMania 30. All of a sudden, he was the man to beat. Lesnar’s current stock is sky high in the wrestling business and if he goes on to defeat Undertaker cleanly once again, and then the stock would enter space and reach some other planet.

Undertaker would be put back into obscurity for the time being while Lesnar would be pushed back into the main event scene. The fans would see him more legitimately if it’s a clean win and Lesnar could go on to have another dominant run before he passes the torch to some young upcoming guy on the current roster.

#1 Sting comes around

Sting

Imagine this: Brock Lesnar and Undertaker is having a great match at SummerSlam. All of a sudden, the lights go off and when it comes back on, Sting is standing in the ring with his baseball bat.

Would you mark out? Of course you will.

Sting coming in and taking out Undertaker would lay the foundation that WWE needs for an Undertaker vs. Sting match at WrestleMania. Brock Lesnar could return to the WWE championship scene with the same while Sting and Undertaker could have a long buildup to their eventual clash. WWE will have to come up with strong motives for Sting and pairing him up with the Authority would be a great idea for starters.
