WWE Survivor Series 2014: 3 possible endings for Team Cena vs Team Authority match

WWE’s 2014 Survivor Series outing has been tagged as a one match event thanks to the creative team’s inefficiency to build up some credible undercard. Though an unbaked undercard isn’t one of the good things about a pay-per-view, having a star studded main event clearly falls on the bright side. The battle between Team Cena and Team Authority was built up as the biggest match of the year and rightfully so. The Authority have reigned as the top heels in WWE for nearly two years and this is the biggest threat that Hunter and Stephanie have had.A lot of twists and turns worked into the angle also make it exciting. And now that the teams are set, the only thing we need to worry about is the ending. So here is a look at the possible ways in which WWE could steer the match at Survivor Series.

#1 The Beast is back

The whole idea of having a big traditional Survivor Series match on Sunday was to make the fans feel that they don’t have to see Brock Lesnar every now and then.

It has been working well so far but once the main event of Survivor Series reaches its conclusion, the realization is going to strike hard on the fans. So instead of giving a flat result in favour of either of the teams, the company could bring back Lesnar with a bang.

Cena is the No.1 contender for the championship right now and Hunter is willing to go to any limits to ensure that he doesn’t lose his power. So when the match nears its end, Lesnar could make his big return and cost Cena the match which in turn would act as a buildup for the third Cena- Lesnar showdown.

The ending would clearly evoke mixed reactions but if WWE has plans of dethroning the Authority, that honour should be given to a youngster rather than Cena.

#2 The traitor

Betrayals are one of the most interesting things about these traditional matches. Over the course of the pay-per-view’s history, we have seen many legendary swerves and if something similar could be done on Sunday, it would make the pay-per-view a sure-shot success.

Superstars from the heel faction making a turn would not make much sense meaning that someone from Team Cena should do the honour. Ryback is still fresh from his face turn and the same applies for Erick Rowan. Big Show turning heel is not going to be a good decision in the longer run but if Ziggler turns heel, then that will be something big.

The Show off is incredibly over with the fans right now and helping team Authority win the match would turn his career upside down. Aligning with the Authority and having a feud with John Cena would put Ziggler back on the map as well.

#3 End of Authority

All good things must come to an end and so should the Authority. They’ve been a ‘good for business’ part of the roster for a ridiculously long time now and it would be sensible to end their reign.

If Team Cena comes out victorious at Survivor Series, then the fans would see a big shift in the WWE landscape. Triple H would no longer be in power and this calls for a new Authority figure to make debut.

WWE doesn’t have any shortage of legends they could use for that role with Triple H crying foul to get his power back. Cena can go ahead with his feud with Brock Lesnar and the other members in each team could work out in singles feuds.

Stephanie would get the time off that she desperately needs and Vince McMahon would take the centre stage once again by having a feud with his son-in-law.
