WWE Survivor Series 2014: 5 face/heel turns that could happen at the pay-per-view

The process of giving out the WWE Network free for the entire month of November is Vince McMahon’s idea of luring in new subscribers to the thing that never really took off.Of course, the never ending archives of WWE are a big attraction about the Network but the crucial point about this strategy would be Survivor Series. McMahon is not that business man you see on the streets to give a $60 dollar pay-per-view for free.He will clearly have some big plans for the pay-per-view to lure in new subscribers and that list will have some turns here and there. Just like the returns, some heel or face turns at the show could work swell and here is a look at the possible ones that could take place at November 23rd.

#1 John Cena

This year’s Survivor Series would probably be the most important one in the past decade. Vince McMahon is trying to lure in new subscribers as pointed out earlier and for that he will have to pull off a controversial angle.

What could me more controversial and shocking that a John Cena heel turn?

Cena aligning with the Authority would not only make headlines in wrestling websites, but it is sure to get a lot of mainstream attention as well.

There is certain situation where extreme measures are to be taken for pulling off a successful show and the only extreme measure that Vince McMahon has at his disposal now is a heel turn from his lifelong babyface.

#2 Sheamus

WWE’s heel department has a certain lack of credible names. Apart from the Authority, the company has failed to establish someone in the main event scene worthy of carrying around that heel aura.

Sheamus looks apt for that role. He has been giving some good physical matches after his return and we all know how good he is with heel runs.

Being in Team Cena offers Sheamus the ideal opportunity to turn heel. If he gets some friction with Cena, WWE would be able to book Cena without affecting the Authority angle till Brock Lesnar finally shows up.

The Celtic Warrior is one of those natural heels in the roster who could get the job done and Survivor Series might just be the best place for his much awaited heel turn.

#3 Ryback

The big guy is that rare breed in the current WWE roster that blurs the line between typical babyface and heels. Last week on Raw, he brushed shoulders with John Cena and at the same time laid out the lights of Seth Rollins, Mark Henry, Rusev and Kane.

From the advertisement poster that is circulating around the internet, Ryback is going to be in team Cena at the pay-per-view.

Though Ryback might not undergo a full-fledged heel turn, we could expect him to be volatile and ruin the outing for Team Cena.

WWE wants to build up Ryback as a lone wolf and the biggest hint about this was dropped last week when he went on a demolition run without looking who stood in front of him. It would be more of a swerve than a turn from Ryback but it’s a twist nevertheless.

#4 Adam Rose

Rose’s career was destined to be doomed the moment he made it into the main roster. His Leo Kruger character back in NXT was no shortcut to stardom but it did have some credibility.

It would be a bit too late to return to that character but WWE could help Rose with a heel turn.

It might sound ridiculous but the Bunny will be crucial in the storyline. The fans has started to love the bunny character irrespective of who is playing it and Rose taking out his anger on that same bunny could ensure a heel turn.

The creative team has been slowly building up friction between Rose and the Bunny and it might even culminate into a match at the pay-per-view ( And that’s why they are giving the pay-per-view for free).

#5 Cesaro

Cesaro’s career is a titanic. It was supposed to be a good looking ship after the win at WrestleMania and all those Paul Heyman guy stuff. However, it soon hit the iceberg and is sinking at an alarming rate.

He has been no more than a jobber after expressing his views about the ever increasing Randy Orton – John Cena matches and apparently the only thing that could save Cesaro is a fresh approach to his character.

WWE did tease a face turn from Cesaro during the WrestleMania period but that never came by due to his association with Heyman. Now that Cesaro is a lone wolf, he can have a face run and go against the lights of Rusev or even the Authority in an attempt to revive his character.
