WWE TLC 2014: 5 Possible face/heel turns that could happen at the Pay-Per-View

If the WWE roster was ever compared to a fuel tank, their current situation would be described as ‘running on fume’. The ever increasing injuries and a lazy WWE Champion have left the roster shallow while the company prepares to enter a crucial phase. They might not be able to bring back those injured names in time but one thing WWE could do is to make use of the resources they have at the moment. Some great heel or face turns could really freshen up the roster big time and the next slot WWE has to pull this off will be at TLC. So here is a look at some of the face/heel turns that we could see at the pay-per-view on Sunday.

#5 Naomi

There weren’t many things WWE could new about their tag team division. All the teams were pretty much used up and all permutations and combinations were already tested. Despite this, some genius (not sarcastic) in the backstage came up with the idea of involving Total Divas into the mix.

The writers started incorporating the real life relationship between Jimmy Uso and Naomi into the tag title feud and it added another layer of detail to the whole thing.

At TLC, Naomi will be a big factor in determining the outcome of the tag title contest. With such a possibility in place, don’t be surprised if Naomi turns heel and aligns with Miz giving Mizdow some cheesier things to replicate.

#4 Adam Rose

There has been a lot of friction between Adam Rose and his bunny recently and we all know where this is headed to. Rose is in desperate need of a change in character as his face turn has been a bigger failure than Brock Lesnar’s Championship reign.

The true identity of the bunny is the exciting part in all these as it could be someone from NXT under the mask or it could even be Shelton Benjamin who has been slated for a potential return to the company.

However, before the Bunny is unmasked, WWE should spark a feud between the Exotic Express and his animal friend and for that, first, Rose needs to bring out his darker side into play.

#3 Cesaro

Cesaro doesn’t ‘connect’ with the fans according to Vince McMahon but the truth is, the Swiss Superman was never given a proper chance. Whenever he was on the verge of getting a big push and fans started reacting, one reason or the other forced WWE to drag him back down.

He is apparently not going anywhere as a midcard heel at the moment and the tag team with Tyson Kidd is not going to work as well because of the husband – wife subplot between Tyson and Natalya.

The best thing for Cesaro now would be a face turn. WWE Universe will be new to the concept of seeing him as a face and an initial feud with Tyson Kidd will be a treat as well.

#2 Sheamus

Sheamus was a main stay in the WWE programming ever since he returned at this year’s Royal Rumble. He served as the backbone of the roster’s midcard with a United States Championship run and had occasional visits to the main event scene as well.

An injury angle right before Survivor Series took the Celtic Warrior out of action and instead of returning as a babyface that he was, Sheamus could play the role he was born to do.

The roster has a certain lack of credible heels on top of the ladder and Sheamus is an ideal person who could fill in that slot. He could run in and take out the either Dolph Ziggler or Ryback and go on to have a feud with them through the WrestleMania period.

#1 Randy Orton

No, Orton is not yet a babyface. He did show signs of a face turn when he locked horns with the Authority but it was never a full blown face turn.

Orton hasn’t been around the WWE programming for a while now due to film commitments and looks set to make a triumphant return at TLC. He is expected to go straight at Seth Rollins once he returns and this in turn will make the Viper’s face turn official.

We could possibly be treated with a feud between the two superstars that will run all the way to WrestleMania and if that is the case, Orton’s potential turn on Sunday will have more importance than any other turn that will happen.
