WWE TLC 2014: 5 Things that should happen at the Pay-Per-View

Was it a crazy dream or did WWE actually delivering a quality Survivor Series show? It was clearly among the best pay-per-views of the year (if it was real) and wrestling fans would be talking about it for years to come. But the problem with such shows is that, the company now has to follow up. The amount of expectation that the fans will have for the companys next pay-per-view outing TLC is a sky high and meeting those expectations will not be a walk in the park. While certain booking decisions could turn the show into a big success, some others are sure to drag it down the abyss. Lets forget about the latter category for the time being and see what all things should be done at TLC to make sure it doesnt sink.

#5 Dolph Ziggler in a big match

Ziggler came out as the sole survivor at Survivor Series and it was his underdog story that made everyone talk apart from Sting’s debut.

The fans were elated to see Ziggler finally getting the spotlight he deserves but the company didn’t make use of that situation. He was booked plain on the night that followed and looks almost certain to face Luke Harper at TLC for the Intercontinental championship.

However, WWE should find a different scenario for the showoff. He could face John Cena or Seth Rollins at TLC in a big match rather than settling for the mid card spot. He is someone who belongs in the main event scene and with the crowd behind his back; WWE shouldn’t waste any more time in pushing him there.

#4 Ryback destroying Kane

Ryback and Kane are set to lock horns in a chair match at TLC and though it might not sound like one, this needs to be a squash match. Kane’s character has been stale for ages now and unless he gets his mask back, there is no uses in letting Kane get a win over Ryback.

The big guy’s momentum took a big blow thanks to the bad booking at Survivor Series and fans will be looking to see some credibility pushed back into his character.

Ryback not only has to win the match, he should destroy Kane and take him out of television. This would also give the veteran some much needed time off and could comeback fresh for the WrestleMania season.

#3 Start of a breakdown between Miz and Mizdow

We all know where Miz and Mizdow are heading to. Their team is eventually going to break up due to the big ego of Miz and both men will have a singles feud that will probably end with WWE burying Mizdow character alongside Damien Sandow.

It will be hard to digest but we cannot expect anything more from the WWE creative writers who made Batista win the Royal Rumble as a babyface.

So the best thing to do is enjoy while it lasts. If WWE is looking to let the two face off at WrestleMania, then the seeds need to be sown now. TLC should be the first stage of their break down and Mizdow should start building up his own personality when these two defend their title at the pay-per-view.

#2 Clean ending for Dean Ambrose Bray Wyatt match

Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose tore down the roof the last time they faced off. The match had some great in ring psychology and the action, was chaotic to say the least. The only thing which made the fans frown was the ending.

We can’t blame WWE as well since they didn’t have any other option. Giving a clean win to either man would’ve buried the other one which in turn would’ve messed up the entire feud.

A no-contest ending, however, will not work at TLC. One is okay but two in a row will be suicidal. And since it’s a no disqualification match a clean ending is a necessity. It’s hard to choose who should get the first win, but either way, it has to end cleanly.

#1 The big returns

Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Bad News Barrett, Rey Mysterio, Brock Lesnar and Seamus are some of the names that is all set to make a big return.

TLC will be a transition type pay-per-view for the company as we will be heading into the road to WrestleMania after that. WWE will be looking for a packed roster before embarking on that journey and for that, they need to bring back all these names.

Some will probably make their return before TLC but instead of letting everyone make the jump, the writers should save some for TLC. Reigns and Randy are the prime candidates who could return at TLC and their return would certainly grab the headlines as well.
