Top 5 Feuds for Roman Reigns after Night of Champions

A year back, Roman Reigns was just one of three Shield members who were raw to the main roster. Along with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, Reigns climbed the ladder slowly over the year and made a name individually before the creative team decided to pull the plug on the stable. With the aura that he carried around, Reigns was sure to go big once Shield ended and he did just that when he was injected into the WWE World Heavyweight title scene right after Rollins decided to double cross his brothers. The fans and the company are apparently still high on the Samoan Superstar and his ongoing feud with Randy Orton is the biggest proof for this. The angle however has no potential beyond the Summers big party. This leaves WWE without a feud for their young starlet so here is a look at some of the superstars who could run a program with Reigns.

#5 Brock Lesnar

In 2014, Lesnar has proved to everyone that he is bigger than both the Streak and John Cena. There is no one above the beast right now while the entire roster is looking up on him.

Some might say that is it a bit early to push Reigns into the title picture, but with all the attention that Lesnar gets for his reign, the time is perfect. Even if Reigns loses giving a good effort, he will benefit a lot from being in the ring with Lesnar.

And if he gets a win over Heyman’s client, then it would be historical milestone. Back when Lesnar was a youngster, he had to overthrow Rock to become the champion and it would be just the replication of that moment.

A championship reign with Rollins as the Money in the bank holder only means exciting times at the company and for the fans.

#4 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns are two superstars who could go on to headline WrestleMania in the future. They have all the potential to carry WWE over the years and despite the superstars being poles apart right now, it would only be a matter of time before they would cross paths.

After Night of Champions, Jericho would be packing his bags leaving Bray alone. If the WWE could recruit the cult leader to take out Reigns, it would form a compelling storyline.

WWE needs to have the Triple H – Reigns match saved for a big pay-per-view like Survivor Series or Royal Rumble and Bray could be a buffer till then.

Having the lights of Erick Rowan and Luke Harper in the mix would let the odds to be stacked against Reigns making it easier to stand out.

#3 Cesaro

At this moment this might not sound like a good idea but there isn’t anyone better than Cesaro in putting people over. He has that special skill of making his opponent look better and is what Reigns would want right now.

Paul Heyman is busy endorsing his other client and the only hope that Cesaro has to stay relevant till Lesnar’s title loss would be a feud like this.

He is apparently too good to fill in the Alberto Del Rio void and unlike the Mexican; Cesaro actually evokes emotions among the fans.

Reigns would have a good heel to face and the in ring action would simply be extraordinary with all the flash moves that have been making the crowd pop ever since these two men started catching their eye.

#2 John Cena

Reigns vs. Cena: this is not like anywhere near the mainstream attraction that a Cena- Lesnar match would bring, but this feud would let WWE build for a bright future.

Cena is standing in front of his 40s and will have under a decade to be the face of WWE. A replacement is necessary and one man that meets all the requirements is Reigns himself. There will be a lack of heel- face heat for the storyline but Reigns would get the exposure he deserves.

He might be a big star among the loyal WWE fans, but for the ones who tune into only the big events, Reigns is just a youngster while it’s names like Cena and Lesnar that draw the crowd.

Reigns getting one over the champion would cement the main event status and put him right in between the big names.

#1 Triple H

It is a feud that the fans have been dreaming for ever since someone broke the idea of Reigns being a rebel against the Authority.

There were many rumors that suggested that the COO of the company and Reigns would face off at the summer’s biggest party but apparently that is not going to happen. This doesn’t mean that the angle is scrapped off by the creative team.

Even though Reigns is battling Orton, he is tangled with the Authority to an extent. Once he takes out the Viper, he needs to go for the bigger power, which is none other than Hunter.

Triple H is an ideal opponent to put Reigns over at this stage of his career because of the heel heat that the Authority is carrying. Rollins being involved is another beneficiary prospect of this storyline which could headline Night of Champions.
