WWE Top 5 Rumors of the Week and Analysis : 21 September 2014

The rumor mill is up and running just hours before Night of Champion and it has some interesting speculations regarding the pay-per-view and the big daddy of them all, WrestleMania.WWE might be having a creative dilemma at the moment with a lot of superstars being injured while the writing hasnt been up to the mark by any level. However this hasnt stopped some mouthwatering rumors from being born during the past seven days. The match between Lesnar and Cena is the biggest draw at NOC and both superstars played the protagonist in two of the most interesting rumors of this week. Bray Wyatts path back to credibility is another thing that poked up while WWEs lean towards the Attitude Era was also highlighted. With that said, here is a look at this weeks top rumors and analysis.

#5 Cena Austin being planned for WrestleMania 31

Austin and WWE have reportedly struck a deal through which Austin will promote the WWE Network in his podcast while the company would promote the podcast in their television show.

Though it was initially thought that the deal is only confined to this, there latest news suggests that there could be more.

The company will be producing Austin T-shirts in the near future while the rattlesnake has been hitting the gym often to get back into the ring.

Internet has gone havoc with all the signs and there is a possibility of Austin wrestling at WrestleMania 31. And this opponent, as per plans would be none other than John Cena according to the speculations.

#4 Sexual tension between AJ Lee and Paige

Building up some sexual tension between two divas was one of the main hobbies of WWE back during the Attitude Era. However, going public has restricted the company from running such risky angles but the fans might be forcing WWE to go to the limit.

All the creepy stuff that has been built up between Paige and AJ Lee was apparently intentional from WWE’s side so that they could give the fans some essence of the old Attitude Era.

The two divas have been doing an exceptional job to keep it pretty much toned down compared to the storylines in the past and WWE clearly doesn’t want their sponsors to be scared away from such an angle.

It might not happen anytime soon, but at some point, the WWE is going to pull the plug on the tension and let something controversial happen just to get the media attention.

#3 Bray Wyatt to make a big impact at Night of Champions

Bray Wyatt looks all set to Miss Night of Champion in terms of having a match but he is rumored to be playing a crucial role in the pay-per-views.

Wyatt’s feud with Big Show hasn’t earned him a slot in the match card but if the rumors materialize, Bray would steer the course of a title match on Sunday. Ziggler could be the one facing Bray’s wrath which will build up a feud between the two.

This possibility however is masked by another great prospect of Bray being involved in the match between Lesnar and Cena. Attacking Lesnar would mean that Bray’s face turn would be complete while another attack on Cena will give WWE the opportunity to invest Lesnar elsewhere.

Both possibilities look good at this moment and the fans have to wait till NOC to know which actually happens.

#2 Its not Sting or NXT; its just 2K 15 news on this weeks Raw

There is a lot of activity going on Twitter about the Raw that will follow Night of Champion and the teases includes something to do with a ‘New Generation’ and of course, the one in which Sting says ‘its Showtime’.

The rumor mills suggest that Sting might be finally making his debut on Raw this week which would make sense to the tweet.

The New Generation on the other hand is viewed as an invasion angle involving the NXT superstars which promises to be a big success.

However, all of these expectations might come crashing down on Raw as these could point to nothing more than the promotions of WWE 2k15. So the WWE Universe shouldn’t keep their expectations high for the same as WWE has a hobby of screwing things up.

#1 Lesnar will be champion at next WrestleMania even if he loses at NOC

The winner of the Lesnar – Cena match at Night of Champions is still up in the air as it would go either ways. Lesnar is the favorite to walk out of Sunday with the title but it doesn’t mean that Cena can’t be counted out.

Lesnar might apparently skip Hell in a Cell in favor of Survivor Series which means that the company will have to take the title away from him for the time being.

However, no matter what the results are, Lesnar is sure to hold the title at WrestleMania 31 where he might be booked against Roman Reigns.

It will be a torch passing moment at the biggest pay-per-view of them all if the match happens, but as far as the rumor is concerned, we Lesnar might be in the championship scene even after he loses sthe title.
