Top 5 WWE Rumors of the Week and Analysis: September 14, 2014

Brock Lesnar dominating John Cena at SummerSlamIt’s that part of the week where the most interesting WWE speculations of the past seven days are dug out from the deepest corners of the internet and analyzed on levels of importance and impact.Surprisingly enough, despite being just one week away, Night of Champions failed to make the fans buzz which is not at all a good sign for the WWE after an exciting SummerSlam last month.Midcarders in the WWE roster was in the limelight unlike the last few weeks apart from a certain Daniel Bryan, who looks set to return earlier than expected.TNA was back in the mix after a long time as they were featured in a rumor that could steer the business in America to a different direction. With that said, here is a look at the best rumors of the week and how they could impact on the longer run.

#5 Daniel Bryan to go down against Lesnar just like Cena

Daniel Bryan fans finally got encouraging news when it was revealed that the flying goat might not need another surgery. He is expected to be back in time for Survivor Series but before the excitement takes you over, I’ve got some bad news.

The plan that WWE has for Bryan’s return is a feud with none other than Brock Lesnar. It is a dream match for many, but WWE is looking to book Bryan just like they booked Cena at SummerSlam.

The aim of such a booking would be to put Lesnar more over as a monster. However, Bryan’s health might force WWE to drop the idea even if he makes a return.

It would be a compelling storyline if it happens, but no one would want Bryan to get injured again and shorten his career.

#4 Bunny to get a storyline

One interesting thing about WWE’s current product is that they are willing to give storyline backing to a bunny while they simply ignore lights of Big E, Natalya, Bray Wyatt and many others.

It’s not a bad idea to let Adam Rose’s bunny get a storyline in the mid-card since it would also let Heath Slater perform for some cause.

The identity of the person behind the mask is another aspect. WWE is planning to let Darren Young be the bunny after some time since it would make sense for Young to haunt his former partner Titus O’Neil.

There are also rumors of Zack Ryder getting the pick and no matter who it is, Slater is sure to end up on the losing side of this one.

#3 Miz to get his own stable

A few months back the fans wouldn’t have had their money on Miz to succeed. He was nowhere near the television, but the writers somehow managed to revive the former World Champion with the new Hollywood gimmick.

The character seemed like it was tailored for the awesome one and now WWE is looking to take matters to the next level by giving Miz a new stable.

It is an interesting prospect for Miz and can turn out into a solid mid card program. As far as the members are concerned, Damien Sandow is sure to get the pick as Miz’s stunt double.

Tyler Breeze is rumored to be the third member and if it materializes Breeze could showcase what he is all about to the main roster fans.

#2 Bray in line for a title shot

The WWE fans knew that Bray Wyatt would end up in a title picture at one point or the other. The title they had in their mind would have been the WWE Championship but the creative apparently has other plans for the Eater of the Worlds.

Bray is lined up for a feud with Dolph Ziggler from the looks of it meaning that the monster who only cared about sending a message will now be fighting for the Intercontinental championship.

It is a big letdown for his character to be precise but at least it will keep Bray busy for the mean time. Ziggler is someone that can put Bray over big time and a title reign would also help the cult leader.

What this means is that Miz might not get his hands on the title at Night of Champions and in turn leaves him free to form the stable that was mentioned earlier.

#1 TNA to get a bigger TV deal than current one

TNA is at the verge of losing their TV deal that they have with Spike. Spike apparently doesn’t want to renew the contract with TNA citing that they are no longer interested in having professional wrestling in their program list.

Most of the fans are well aware of the fact that a promotion wouldn’t stay alive for long without a National Television deal. ECW was the prime example for this. The company was at it’s all time high but couldn’t find a Television deal which proved to be a nail in the coffin.

TNA however has some encouraging news. There are rumors of a network bigger than Spike being interested in Impact wrestling.

If TNA would secure the deal, they will be able to challenge WWE once again as Vince McMahon is going through a vulnerable phase while TNA has everything going in their favor when it comes to pulling off good shows.
