Joshna Chinappa wins title at WSA $10k Richmond Open in Virginia, USA

Chennai’s Joshana Chinappa picked up her 9th WSA World Tour title of her career defeating top seeded Rachael Grinham from Australia 11-9, 11-7, 11-9 in the final of the Richmond Open 2014, held at Virginia, USA.

Joshana’s simple game plan of keeping the ball straight and into the corners paid dividend, confirming her maiden victory against the former World no. 1.

Earlier this year in February, Joshana had also won the Winnipeg Winter Club Women’s Open, a WSA Tour 15 event. Making this her 2nd WSA tour title for the year.
