FINA World Junior Swimming Championships

All 5 Indian junior swimmers who were in action at the 4th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates were eliminated in the preliminary rounds.

In what turned out to be a diasappointing day, Panigrahi Ananya finished at 57th position clocking 1:10.78 in Girls’ 100 meter backstroke. Meenakshi Velayudham finished at 37th position clocking 2:28.30 in Girls 200 meter butterfly and at 39th position in Girls’ 400 meter individual medley clocking 5:25.93.

Manoj Kunte Mitesh finished at 49th position in Boys’ 400 meter freestyle clocking 4:17.30 and 47th in Boys’ 200 meter freestyle clocking 2:00.39. Babu Pranam finished at 47th position in Boys’ 100 meter backstroke clocking 1:01.70.

Mohammed Yaqoob Saleem finished at 49th position in Boys’ 200 meter freestyle clocking 2:01.33.
