BIO: Liverpool club was originally founded following a dispute between the Everton committee and John Houlding. . After eight years at the stadium, Everton relocated to Goodison Park in 1892 and Houlding founded Liverpool F.C. to play at Anfield. The team showed the non believers that it was every bit as tough as it's parent team when they won the Lancashire League in its debut season, and joined the Football League Second Division. The club won consecutive League championships in 1922 and 1923, but did not win another trophy until the 1946-47 season, when the club won the First Division for a fifth time. The club saw some of it's best years during the 1970s and '80s when Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley led the club to eleven league titles and seven European trophies. In total, the club has won eighteen League titles, seven FA Cups and a record eight League Cups. It has also won five European Cups, three UEFA Cups and three UEFA Super Cups.   The club's anthem is "You'll Never Walk Alone". They are nicknamed the Reds. The current manager of the club in Brendon Rogers and the owner- Fenway Sports Group. Some of the club's prominent players are: Matt McQueen, John Walker, Arthur Riley, Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard, Kenny Dalglish etc.
